Duties:
Utilize nursing knowledge and skills in the safe implantation of basic preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative nursing care of assigned patient/family as evidenced by documentation and observation of positive patient care outcomes.
Demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to implement medical plan of care, nursing interventions and procedures as necessary for the care of the patient.
Perform delegated nursing functions using established procedures, policies, guidelines, and standards.
Assists in data collection on the EMR. Documents pertinent observation and intervention on appropriate record.
Contributes to the development of the patient/significant other plan of care based on the identified patient problems/needs. Report needs of the patient and observations regarding condition to the provider.
Administers medication accurately, observing patient response, as evidenced by documentation in the medical record and lack of negative outcomes.
Maintain and coordinate communication among patient/significant other, staff, and physician as evidenced within medical record, client, and health care team feedback.
Answers and refers telephone calls or other inquires to ensure accurate and timely communications as facilitated.
Assists in the orientation/training of new Team Members and functions as a role model for current/new staff.
Takes direction and initiate actions (cross/additional training) that will allow the assumption of cross-functional duties to ensure seamless patient care.
Demonstrates flexibility to perform duties wherever volume deems it necessary within the Clinic.
Demonstrates sound judgment by taking appropriate actions regarding questionable findings or concerns.
Assists other team members in the performance of their assignments.
Consistently evaluates work and determines if further steps are needed to meet client expectations.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
1 year work experience.
Current MO RN license.
BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire.
