What Reception contributes to Cardinal Health

Reception is responsible for receiving, greeting and directing customers and other visitors

Accountabilities

  • Manage receptionist and phone operator program

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all duties and pertaining to Security Receptionists and Phone Operators

  • Create and maintain SOP's to increase succession plan and knowledge management

  • Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems independently

  • Conduct access control audits for controlled areas

  • Serve as lead trainer for team

  • Assist Dublin Security Management with the overall improvement and sustainability of the Dublin Security Program

  • Assist Global Security Executive Assistant with assigned tasks (as needed)

  • Work daily with Senior Security Officers in regards to coverage across the campus

  • Work independently within established procedures; may receive general guidance on new assignments

  • May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members

  • Assign and maintain the balance of additional responsibilities across the team

  • Serve as back-up for key responsibilities that are managed by team members

  • Assess processes and procedures and make adjustments as needed

  • Provide monthly reports regarding productivity, visitor management, and departmental spend

Qualifications

  • High School diploma/GED equivalent

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and Outlook

  • Experience with administrative type duties

  • Experience in high demand environments

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Executive level presence

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • High level of inter-personal communication skills across many social levels and cultures

  • Experience in hospitality type services

  • Must have good time management and organization skills

  • Takes the lead in effectively applying and teaching new processes and skills in order to accomplish a wide variety of assignments

  • Comprehensive knowledge in technical or specialty area

  • Ability to apply knowledge beyond own areas of expertise

  • Performs the most complex and technically challenging work within area of specialization

  • Preempts potential problems and provides effective solutions for team

  • Works independently to interpret and apply company procedures to complete work

  • Provides guidance to less experienced team members

  • May have team leader responsibilities but does not formally supervise
