Lead Quality Engineer

Deloitte Transactions and Business Analytics LLP advises clients on managing business controversy and conflict, executing deals, and maintaining regulatory compliance. We provide services to companies throughout their lifecycle from purchasing a company to investigating potential fraud.

The Team

In 2008, Deloitte Transactions and Business Analytics LLP (DTBA) opened a new facility in Nashville, TN for e-discovery and computer forensics work. DTBA's E-Discovery Solutions Center ("EDSC") continues to increase the capacity, quality, and efficiency of DTBA' s e-file processing by utilizing state-of-the-art technology in a dedicated environment. We are looking for dedicated individuals to join DTBA's Analytic & Forensic Technology practice and help drive the success of the EDSC.

The EDSC is a 24x7, 365 days a year operation.

Work You'll Do

  • The Lead Quality Engineer will work closely and collaboratively with Project Management, and engagement teams to provide best service delivery for the full life cycle of a project during eDiscovery.

  • Successful candidates will provide quality service deliveries and assist teams to identify technological roadblocks. Additionally, candidates should have an ability to investigate and identify data anomalies within large sets of data by utilizing complex SQL queries and statistical sampling methods.

  • Perform inspection of SQL scripts and stored procedures based on client requirements and confirm proper release management protocols are in place.

  • Identifying operational inefficiencies and process interdependencies while collaborating with cross functional team members to implement process controls

  • Identify and perform root cause analysis, facilitate remediation efforts, and verify controls are implementation.

  • Assist with creating, implementing, and reporting quality control activities including checklists, risk codes, and monitoring the success of the QC activities.

  • Implement administrative and physical safeguards by utilizing quality management methodologies to maintain security and privacy of electronically stored information (ESI).

  • Develop complex SQL queries and stored procedures as needed to investigate and identify data trends.

  • Facilitate training sessions on best practices and meetings to deliver quality reports and metrics.

  • Create and review standard operating procedures and perform documentation management.

  • Validate data throughput and confirm the completeness of data intake, exceptions handling, processing, and delivery.

  • Contribute to the release planning process for new applications and upgradesby providing recommendations and raise awareness related to risk.

  • Develop periodic reports based on risk control assessment; summarize testing results and observations to the business leadership team and other key stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science preferred, or a similar technical discipline, or comparable industry experience in eDiscovery

  • 3 years of prior experience of supporting quality functions for a service/product organization.

  • 2 years of prior experience analyzing business problems, transactional data, or unstructured data.

  • Intermediate to advanced SQL skills to perform complex queries against large datasets, identify data anomalies, and data trends

  • 2 years of prior experience in process improvement and performing root cause analysis.

  • Ability to analyze complex problems, think creatively, communicate recommendations, influence change, incorporate best practices, and be able to drive process and structure to an extremely dynamic environment.

  • Familiar with concepts and techniques of forecasting, sampling, statistical analysis, risk assessments.

  • Thorough knowledge and implementation experience of industry compliance standards and regulations for eDiscovery

  • Knowledge of common e-Discovery applications such as Relativity, eCapture, Nuix are a plus.

  • Experience in handling multiple concurrent complex activities within a fast paced, highly technical changing environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both internal team and clients.

  • Ability to work independently, well organized, self-directed and a team player.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Stryker is hiring a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to be located in the United States. This role will be virtually based, and the candidate will be expected to support Central and Eastern Time Zones. What You Will Do: As a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for leading Supplier Quality Controls activities and process improvement initiatives within the Stryker site/Division. You will work closely with local, divisional and corporate stakeholders in the development of Supplier Quality Controls systems, tools, policies and procedures ensuring that they are fully understood and implemented in the respective Stryker site. Additional Responsibilities Include: * Responsible for the development, revision, maintenance, and inactivation of the local Stryker Site procedures ensuring the alignment with the Corporate Guidelines for Purchasing Controls and Supplier Management. * Implement strategy for supplier controls, procurement and strategic sourcing processes and procedures in coordination with Site / Campus Supplier Quality teams and Company-wide Supplier Quality Controls team. * Develop and manage monitoring reports designed for the selection, evaluation, and removal of suppliers from the ASL in order to assure the quality and reliability of the products they supply. * Partner with Quality, Strategic Sourcing, and Divisional leads across sites and campus to lead and implement consistent global supplier management, procurement and Strategic Sourcing processes and procedures. * Lead and/or support development and implementation of processes to build a best-in-class Supplier Quality Controls organization. * Lead site/campus Annual Supplier Quality Performance Review. * Support companywide initiatives to develop and implement data and support systems to provide visibility into Stryker's global supply chain to enable global decision making and performance monitoring. * Work with site and divisional counterparts to complete Corporate Purchasing Controls CAPAs. (containment actions, root cause, corrective/preventive action, etc.) * Development of communication tools to internal customers. (site/campus/Group level) * Support Third Party inspection (FDA, Notified Body etc.) and Stryker Corporate audits of the Quality System. * Train others in Quality Assurance/FDA-QSR related topics. * Consolidation of data/metrics at the site/campus or Group level. * Execute supplier quality agreements (QAA) and Supplier Change Control Agreements (CCA). What You Will Need: Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field. * 2+ years of experience in Supply Management, Quality, and/or Engineering or related field in a highly regulated environment. Preferred Qualifications: * Supply Chain and/or Medical Device quality certifications or training is desired. * Lead auditor certification preferred. * Project Management certification preferred. * Supplier Audit experience in quality system standards: FDA QSR, ISO3485 and ISO9001 is preferred. * Commercial contract knowledge preferred. * General understanding of basic engineering and applied statistical analysis is desired. * Ability to work individually and in a team environment. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Strategic decision-making skills. * Ability to effectively communicate and present information to team members, team leaders, top management and potential suppliers. * Proficient with basic computer programs including Microsoft Suite applications. * Experience integrating best practices to achieve quality/continuous improvements. * Experience developing and implementing quality management systems, particularly with respect to purchasing/supplier controls and supplier quality assessment/supplier development activities in a regulated environment. (medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace) * Ability to build relationships and influence across multiple functions and levels both internally and externally. * Sound judgment and decision-making skills with the ability to communicate in a timely manner. * Experience with supplier metrics & measurement methodologies and supporting systems.
