The Opportunity

As a Lead Quality Analyst you will have advanced technology experience and participate in technical design, development and implementation of new and existing testing frameworks across multiple teams to support SAP Interfaces with Architects, Senior Developers and Product Owners to clarify requirements and drive test solutions.

Your Impact

  • Works on complex and unique projects and problems of varied scope, typically at the enterprise level.

  • Leads the evolution of automation engineering standards and best practices (e.g., tools, technologies, frameworks, design patterns).

  • Proactively identifies operational issues within the scope of responsibility before they happen. Ensures process monitoring and alerting requirements are considered and addressed.

  • Involves the right players and calls for action on key issues impacting business.

  • Collaborate with team on definition of test criteria, the building of test scripts/automation, and execution of the same.

  • Provides first and second-level operational support for production systems, when necessary.

  • Leads practical improvements to support processes where efficiency is lacking.

  • Proactively identifies operational issues within the scope of responsibility before they happen.

  • Leverages internal networks and shares knowledge effectively with other team members across multiple teams within the technology organization.

  • Has extremely good interpersonal skills and is professional in interacting with others on the team and other internal/external entities.

  • Contributes and responds well to feedback. Proactively engages other teams as appropriate.

  • Mentors, coaches, and provides feedback within the sphere of influence. Participates in recruiting tech talent.

What you will do

  • Interface with Product Managers, Delivery Managers, Scrum Masters, and QA to clarify requirements and create or modify existing automated testing frameworks.

  • Perform complex test automation coding and/or configuration to meet documented needs requirements, utilizing a variety of automation frameworks and scripting tools.

  • Lead development of design specifications for the team within defined architecture focusing on CI/CD/CT deliverables.

  • Define and maintains standards for testing artifacts, tools, etc across the enterprise.

  • Provide first and second-level operational support for production systems, when necessary.

  • Lead practical improvements to support processes where efficiency is lacking.

  • Proactively identify operational issues within the scope of responsibility before they happen.

  • Support test strategy reviews.

  • Coordinate with QA and Product team to define test plan approach and leads post-implementation reviews.

  • Facilitate automation framework design and script review sessions, fostering an environment that encourages consideration for improved design and code quality.

  • Foster contributions from the team related to the technical design of new frameworks, tools, systems, and architecture.

  • Foster team collaboration, encouraging contributions from more junior members towards practical implementation of automation framework, tools, process, and documentation.

  • Identify opportunities for technology consolidation and improvements to legacy systems to increase stability and availability.

  • Lead feasibility analysis for new systems.

  • Drive technology strategy and execution efforts to improve overall developer experience and productivity.

  • Champion the SDLC and be a change advocate for the team.

  • Advise clients and partners on discrete technology-related business problems, formulates options including assessing their relative merits and risks, and works with them and the architects to determine the best solution.

  • Responsible for design, documentation, and delivery of work packages and initiatives.

  • Play a lead role in the feasibility of proposed architecture from an engineering perspective. Includes proof of concept activities to validate the veracity of an architecture.

  • Define best practices that are adopted across the organization.

What You Bring

  • BS in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent experience

  • 8+ years of related experience.

  • 4+ years as a Senior Quality Engineer/Architect.

  • Expert-level knowledge and deep understanding of the technical domain.

  • Demonstrates technical leadership to define tools and best practices to be used. Exposure to Test Automation in Azure Cloud environment using Selenium, Appium, SOAP UI/Rest Assured, Jenkins, Git, and Kubernetes is preferred.

  • Expert knowledge of a variety of procedures, with an understanding of multiple interfaces and system interdependencies.

  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices to partner with DevOps to define and articulate clear strategies that take the team forward in the DevOps area.

  • Able to partner with a dev to ensure technical design accounts for automation and test efficiencies upfront.
