AXA is seeking a Lead QE Manager with an open mindset for our individual retirement business unit located in Syracuse, NY. In this highly visible role you will be responsible for leading quality and delivery of Individual annuity product and admin system changes utilizing modern tools and methodologies. This position will work very closely with and serve as liaison to our onshore/offshore vendor counterparts ensuring holistic quality and business value of IT deliverables.


  • Support Quality Engineering within the retirement business team

  • End to End individual platform responsibility for Quality of code changes, technical design, business value and regression

  • Ability to work with key business stakeholders and articulate any risks, defects, issues etc.

  • Hands on automation experience on front end and legacy applications, with the goal of developing an automation first mindset within the team

  • Will have functional management responsibility for QE resources

  • Offshore will be heavily leveraged and will require constant touchpoints with team members to assess project health, transition knowledge, resolve queries, follow up with business, BA's, dev and UAT members for clarifications, user experience, etc.

  • Utilize modernized methodologies (Agile, Scrum, BDD/TDD) to deliver software with high business value and quality, while ensuring low production leakage

  • Implement institutionalized standards of quality engineering into the team

  • Define & standardize metrics and tools to improve monitoring and transparency

  • Expand Test Automation to improve quality, reduce cycle times and optimize risk

  • Enable a culture of continuous improvement within the guild to up-skill talent and improve employee engagement

  • Work with QE guild leads to provide innovative solutions and improve Quality throughout the squad/tribe

  • Communicate pulse of the project at the executive level with key business stakeholders, IT leaders, and business partners.

  • Occasional late nights and early mornings as required.


  • 7+ years of experience in Individual annuity product and Annuity admin system experience.

  • 4+ years of technical and leadership experience supporting individual annuity automation and test service virtualization

  • 3+ years of quality engineering experience


  • 3+ years of experience with Java, Selenium, and Ruby Cucumber for automation

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Cobol

  • Knowledge of software testing concepts and methodologies including automation test script building/execution and agile TDD/BDD and exploratory testing

  • Strong Interpersonal / relationship management skills, able to foster working relationships within the team, across IT and with business colleagues

  • Knowledge of business and technology practices and trends

  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and elicit important details

  • Strong knowledge of business and technology practices and trends

  • Flexible and adaptable expects and embraces change

  • Ability to communicate effectively through both written and verbal means with all levels of the organization

National Grid is seeking a Lead Account Manager for our Syracuse, NY location. Job Purpose The Commercial Services Account Management team manage the community of transmission customers that connect to or operate within our networks in New York and New England. The Account Manager role includes management of a portfolio of wholesale customers in New York. This includes the ownership of the day-to-day relationship with our customers, contract management, and project management of transmission customer projects to ensure superior customer satisfaction, compliance with contracts and tariffs, and to enhance National Grid's corporate reputation. Key Accountabilities * Manage and direct customer activities in order to deliver solutions to achieve superior customer satisfaction within assigned account portfolio. * Administer new interconnection requests by participating in internal and external scoping meetings, negotiating study agreements, and documenting status of new and developing requests.] * Ensure all interconnection requirements are appropriately assessed, designed, planned, resourced and scheduled in a timely and cost-effective manner to ensure best value for National Grid and the interconnecting customer. * Research and respond to customer or internal requests related to contract provisions; including billing. * Coordinate with Network Strategy, Project Management and Operations to communicate capital project and outage information to customers, to provide superior customer service and meet contractual obligations. * Validate that National grid is meeting provisions contained within our contracts including scope, schedule, and budget items. Communicate internally and with customers on variations. * Ensure data and status associated with customer and contract information is incorporated into Salesforce system for accurate reporting and account continuity. * Responsible for maintaining main contract documents and relaying information to customers and stakeholders. Individual is required to process large amounts of information and write clear and concise project agreement documents that convey National Grid's policy and the scope of the project. * Maintain a relationship with all National Grid & Customers. Individual should expect to check in with all stakeholders. * Input and manage data and structure reports to aid in the management of their account portfolio and for organizational reporting purposes. * Lead meetings and track/report on status of active issues. * Draft ad contribute to the negotiation of provisions within transmission contracts. * Perform analysis and make a recommendation and gain buy-in. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Engineering or related field * Minimum of 5 years with Customer or Contract Management. Strong background in Contract Management, Electric Utilities and/or Construction is a plus * High level competencies in relationship management, communication, and conflict resolution * Experience with negotiating and reporting * Strong Probability and decision-making skills; strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy * Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Salesforce. * Ability to work within a matrix environment and function as a team member to accomplish the\ department's goals * Legal background and knowledge of contracting terms & conditions, strongly preferred * Must be comfortable speaking in front of both large and small groups. Contract Specialist may often lead meetings or be required to facilitate discussions with individual customers * Project Management experience and be familiar with lifecycle of a project. * Proven experience negotiating contracts is required.
