Job Title: Lead QA Technician
Job Description
As a Lead QA Technician, you will conduct various calibrations including FT120 and SCC, ensure proper calibration of pH meters and thermometers, and perform pipette calibrations. You will also be responsible for conducting allergen tests on dairy products, creating Certificates of Analysis for customers, and performing daily dye checks. Additionally, you will train new technicians, assist in improving lab quality, participate in EOC and quality incident investigations, and handle document organization and audits. Your role involves frequent communication with supervisors and updating necessary information. You will also assist with general lab tech responsibilities and support additional projects as needed.

This is a fully on-site position in Des Moines, Iowa.
Work Environment
Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM. The environment is a dairy manufacturing lab dealing with products like milk, yogurt, and cheese. The role requires interacting with dairy products and frequent visits to the production floor, which may be warm, loud, and slippery. The position involves standing for long periods, walking up stairs, and lifting over 20 lbs.
