The Lead QA Performance Engineer owns and drives major projects in the Performance Engineering team. This role examines, validates, and tests software systems to ensure they are stable, reliable and fast. He or She will work on the most complex levels of innovative projects that drive future developments or software platforms. The Lead QA Engineer designs and builds complex systems that perform load, performance and chaos testing of our most critical systems. This role is a recognized company expert in quality performance testing, and serves as a mentor to peers and junior colleagues.

  • Creates test strategy and plans for performance, high availability, monitoring and environment validation.

  • Understands system architecture and design, and implements appropriate tests, monitors, and processes for measurement and analysis.

  • Develops and executes scripted automated test cases resolving highly complex, unprecedented issues and projects.

  • Responsible for end-to-end test automation oversight in large projects, or multiple projects, in alignment with overall QA strategy.

  • Leads setup of testing frameworks with test automation team.

  • Writes requirements and functional specifications for complex and unprecedented automated test plans and protocols for large projects and/or multiple projects.

  • Leads development of test automation.

  • Leads design of mission critical automated validation routines and test automation scripts based upon industry best practices or production problem analyses.

  • Performs advanced research of defects and oversees defect resolution.

  • Champions defect or process escalation with architecture team.

  • Maintains and reviews bug database on behalf of QA Engineering group.

  • Analyzes, presents, and tracks test results to clients and peers.

  • Reports on KPIs, testing, and quality assurance results to management and executives.

  • Responsible for auditing format test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications.

  • Manages test planning and audits the writing of test cases/scripts, test case automation and test execution.

This position reports to an Operations Manager, Operations Director, or Director of Event Technology. Key Job Responsibilities Equipment Operation * Responsible for accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of intermediate audiovisual equipment. * Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly as they arise. * Complies with all Company security and safety measures. * Ensures equipment is secure from theft and/or damage when in use.
