The Role

We are looking for a Public Policy & Product Communications Lead to join our PR team at SoFi. This position will be responsible for partnering with Legal to develop strategic communications tied to policy initiatives for our lending products including Student Loan Refinancing, Private Student Loans, Personal Loans, and Home Loans, as well as partnering with our Product, Design, and Engineering teams to help educate the public about SoFi and its full suite of innovative financial products. The Public Policy & Product Communications Lead will be responsible for the development, execution and measurement of product and policy communications, initiatives and tactics, drive daily activities, and work in tandem with business partners and cross-functional teams within SoFi to ensure our work is driving business outcomes.

What you'll do:

  • Drive a world-class PR practice at SoFi, working with both in-house colleagues and external agencies

  • Provide strategic direction and planning that ladders up to business objectives

  • Develop and maintain relationships with reporters

  • Execute outreach programs that deliver positive coverage and improved influencer perceptions

  • Provide messaging, and positioning counsel to business unit leaders and other key stakeholders

  • Keep the team up to date on industry/audience trends and news

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree; 6-8 years of relevant work experience (having both agency and in-house experience a plus)

  • Experience building and executing external communications strategy in DC and nationally

  • Track record of super-creative campaign and story ideas with demonstrated results

  • Strong existing press relationships

  • Experience working collaboratively with outside agencies

  • Stellar, persuasive written and verbal communications skills, including interpersonal and presentation skills

Job description As the lead Specialist for Brand Safety on the Revenue Product Specialist team, you are responsible to build a clear Brand Safety business plan based on an in-depth look at the current advertiser marketplace and what is needed to accurately support our long term revenue goals. The Specialist works closely with their counterparts across Customers and the Product organization to develop messaging, product prioritization, expertise and commercialization strategy. Who we are: This team drives the commercialization strategy for Twitter Products and Solutions across a cross-functional set of global & local market partners (Product, Leadership, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, etc). The team has both deep product expertise and top strategic selling skills. They partner with Product and Product Marketing to share advertiser feedback, report on industry trends, identify areas of product differentiation, attend strategic sales meetings and educate the sales team on product positioning. We are a passionate and fun loving team who strives to do our best and bring positive results for our Customers, team members and Twitter overall. This role: You will drive the holistic brand safety strategy across Twitter's range of revenue products. You will have three key areas of focus: * Support our Customer partners via setting clear Sales Strategies - and showcase internally and with partners the best way to meet their clients needs regarding Brand Safety. * Train and educate our Customer teams with real world examples and solutions via day to day support, interaction and reinforcement. * Represent the Voice of the Customer back in to our Revenue and Consumer Product teams - bringing them feedback and helping to contextualize the needs of the market. Responsibilities * Lead RPS Brand Safety Specialist work globally * Co-own with Policy Ops key Industry relationships with GARM and top agencies and clients to support our Sales partners * Drive strategy and solutions to scale the adoption, belief and action around Brand Safety. * Drive senior leadership updates on a frequent basis showcasing progress and challenges, and having the ability to call out challenges, roadblocks and wins. Run internal communications, updates and process overall for the larger internal workstream. * Establish links with the rest of RPS, Customers Organization, Product Marketing and more. * Provide proactive recommendations for how to reduce Brand Safety risk * Influence Product and Engineering on systems, tools, and logic to improve Twitter's brand safety measures, campaign reporting, and partnerships. Be the Customers point person for key 3P measurement and audit efforts. * Be able to present larger Brand Safety opportunities to clients at a regular. * Analyze data and translate it into impactful insights and business opportunities * Be an advocate for our Customers (Industry Bodies, Advertisers, Agencies) and a partner to our Twitter Product organizations. * Work closely with peer RPS leaders across Awareness, Performance, Measurement and more to ensure we bring consistent and coherent solutions to the market. Qualifications * 6+ years of proven experience in customer-facing roles and Brand Safety work. * Leadership skills - strong point of view/ ability to navigate agency holding companies, use existing relationships and go get new relationships * Outstanding writing and editing skills. * Excel at building bold, solutions leveraging a robust portfolio of Twitter assets and capabilities. * Passion for building a new category and evangelizing standard methodologies in new digital marketing. * Analytical and capable of using data to make decisions, articulate a POV and drive strategies forward, including having to influence others within the organization. * Results oriented with a can-do spirit that loves to exceed expectations, meet deadlines, and overcome obstacles.
