Freeman is seeking a Part-Time Lead - Show Site Freight Operations to perform a lead role on the team while working alongside the freight staff laborers more than 50% of the time. Additional duties include:
Leads small shows consisting of 100,000 lbs or less in weight by performing material handling operations at show site.
Leads dock labor at show site by assigning qualified personnel to perform work to be done.
Leads dock labor to adhere to safe operations practices to reduce and control safety violations.
Leads loading and unloading show site dock operations at show site.
Professionally interacts with branch staff , venue staff, show management staff, out of town Freeman personnel, external customers, and vendors in order to provide the best customer service experience.
Ensures that equipment and tools needed to produce the assigned show is in place and ready for use, advises show lead of any additional equipment needs that may arise, removes malfunctioning equipment from service and assists with the return of equipment after the assigned show is cleared.
Ensures that labor needs have been requested and submitted.
Follows and leads set hours of operation and labor at show site.
Ensures that all paperwork procedures are followed as outlined in the Freight Procedures Manual for efficient revenue billing, to provide the best customer service, and to protect the company against any liabilities.
Confirms that advance freight delivery to show site has been arranged.
Performs basic computer functions within Freeman, including
Completing automated receiving reports
Printing a posted/pending report, a freight manifest, a show summary report (and interpret the billing)
Inquiring an exhibitor's booth number and freight received for an exhibitor
Performing data entry on the small package freight scanner, the labor scanner when Kronos is in operation, and use PDA as a tool for freight functions within Concierge Elite.
Ensures that job costs are kept to a minimum without sacrificing service to customers.
Should participate and lead show site safety & customer service meetings.
Should be able to analyze and explain freight charges on invoices to customers.
Should be familiar with invoice collection processes.
Should be familiar with all aspects of Freeman Exhibit Transportation to include producing automated Material Handling Agreements, price quotes, marketing, scheduling, and levels of delivery service.
Must produce accurate and timely payroll forms and time cards for hours worked on assigned shows.
Participates in corporate, branch, and freight operations training.
Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by Freeman.
Assists with other projects and special assignments as required by Freeman Management Team.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. particularly Excel (formulas, formatting, etc.)
Familiarity with safety and security measures for proper care of an operation.
Demonstrated customer service skills.
Should be familiar with: Office software applications including but not limited to email, Freight Billing Recap, Labor Budget Tool, Microsoft Word and Excel, TSS and Concierge Elite.
