Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Manage the overall coordination, status reporting, financials, schedules and stability of project-oriented work efforts, ensures that project goals and objectives are met within agreed upon time, scope and resource requirements

  • Assessing skills and identifying training needs of project team

  • Coordinates work performed by IT staff and internal customers/partners by defining project requirements, performing feasibility and needs/impact assessments

  • Develops detailed project plans and manages all implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, testing documentation, training, "warm handoff" and on-time delivery within budget constraints

  • Education: Bachelors degree in related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience.

  • Experience: Eight years of relevant technical or business work experience

  • Certifications: PMI Certification required

  • Other:

  • Skilled in Project Management, has ability to manage small to intermediate projects

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Experience with business writing

  • Ability to prioritize competing interests

  • Experience in a clinical, technology or patient care environment

Responsibilities and Qualifications This position is a Ministry role that is responsible for elevating the effectiveness of co-worker scheduling and staffing within the ministry. This role will be responsible for providing varying levels of analytical data mining and analysis for senior leadership for the purpose of evaluating and modifying existing staffing scheduling performance. Assists with automation of standard metrics as defined and adopted for use by the Ministry. Key responsibilities include providing analytics support for the continuous improvement of labor utilization and staffing and scheduling outcomes. Create standardized analytical tools. templates, and reports that provide actionable information to front line leaders throughout the ministry. Facilitate regular reporting of key performance indicators related staffing outcomes and provide best practice coaching on triggers to improvement opportunities. Work closely with data scientists to leverage data collected from various applications to develop comprehensive analysis that will identify opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations for all levels of leadership across Mercy. Extracts and manipulates large data sets including multiple data types and sources to perform clinical analysis of financial, utilization, and clinical data. Performs drill-down analysis where needed in order to understand and communicate key findings. Determine changes required to improve scheduling effectiveness and optimal labor utilization by unit and skill. Coordinate and deliver end user training. Maintain frequent contact with facility Subject Matter Experts and Key Contacts. Support implementation teams with analysis and performance monitoring to identify opportunities to improve staffing and scheduling. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. That's why you'll bring to your role the right set of qualifications: * Skills, knowledge and abilities: * Co-worker scheduling and staffing processes, best practices. * Use of Microsoft office products, including Excel, Access, and Visio. * Knowledge of process design, project management, and performance improvement tools. * Lean/Six Sigma experience. * Ability to develop and provide appropriate training and education for multiple levels of providers and their leadership. * Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills. * Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field. * Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role * Other: Skills, knowledge and abilities: * Co-worker scheduling and staffing processes, best practices. * Use of Microsoft office products, including Excel, Access, and Visio. * Knowledge of process design, project management, and performance improvement tools. * Lean/Six Sigma experience. * Ability to develop and provide appropriate training and education for multiple levels of providers and their leadership. * Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
