Role Overview:

This position is for an Experienced sales engineering professional, overseeing the compilation of customer information and the guidance of sales representatives in formulating sales plans for customers. Responsible for the most up to date knowledge on the most recent company product lines to enhance the performance of sales engineering.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the lead project engineer for business development in support of new proposals

  • Assesses the technical requirements of an RFP (request for proposal); presents to senior management the expected technical effort required to fulfill the proposal

  • Works alongside engineering management and engineering subject matter experts to determine systems and products to offer

  • Works with customers and sales directors to ensure a complete understanding and agreement on the technical statement of work

  • Writes and oversees the overall technical content of the proposal

  • Determines NRE (non-recurring engineering) costs including items such as tooling, engineering level of effort, development fees etc.

  • Works with the sales team to develop a sales strategy achieving desired goal e.g. highest margin, lowest risk etc.

  • Supports customer meetings, proposal presentations, and product demonstrations

  • Develops all technical content with the intention of a smooth handover of technical content after program award

  • Identifies new areas of technology that, if developed provide a technical advantage over the competition or overcomes a known disadvantage

  • Supports the business development team in its pricing assertions for customer driven scope changes.

  • Performs other duties as required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project engineering experience in the aircraft interiors industry

  • Previous experience using Unigraphics or other CAD software

  • Boeing D6-36230 and equivalent Airbus specification knowledge

  • MS Excel (Intermediate level)

  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and accurate efficiency; should be deadline-oriented and versatile

  • Ability to build and manage relationships with new and existing customers, internal teams, management and stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required.

What you get to do: Responsibilities include maintaining all equipment, systems and building components, including, but not limited to, mechanical and electrical systems, pumps, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, locks, furniture, paint, wall coverings, tile and other equipment Your day-to-day: * Builds, repairs, and paints all parts of the hotel. * Installs and replaces lighting fixtures and bulbs. * Cleans carpets and rugs. * Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment. * Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine. * Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts. * Installs and repairs electrical wiring and electronic components of machinery and equipment. * Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment. * Fabricates and repairs furniture and fixture * Attend all scheduled training classes and meetings. * Paints corridors, hotel rooms, and lobby areas when necessary. * Transports heavy boxes and packages within the hotel for maintenance and repairs. * Assists in delivering and set-up of all new equipment such as televisions, mattresses, tables, chairs, etc. * Communicate with Chief Engineer on assigned projects * Responds to all customer requests in a timely and personable manner. * Supervises projects given by the Chief Engineer * Supervising general maintenance engineers and delving out projects to general maintenance engineers per Chief Engineer * Review guest issues from MOD Report and surveys to ensure problems are rectified * Ensuring all Spires and VIPs are PM'd and walked for approval * Department scheduling Specific experience we're seeking: * Previous experience as a hotel engineer is required * Previous experience managing project or staff is preferred. * Painting, electricity, plumbing, repairs, etc is recommended. * Some excessive lifting, bending, walking are physical requirements. * Schedule dependability, professional communication, positive attitude and some computer knowledge are important.
