Functional Title

Role Description:

The job holder provides systems administration, database administration, and application support for mid-range, distributed, imaging processing platforms. S/he is involved in all phases of design, implementation, and production support.

Requirement:

2 years' experience or more.
Job holder must have knowledge of mid-range and workstation operating systems, Linux, Windows Server and Windows workstations.
Experience with database administration for Oracle, MS SQL, and/or Progress is beneficial as well as experience working within a VMware environment.
S/he will be involved in producing detail-level functional requirement documentation and selecting the optimal testing environment for specific applications.
S/he will coordinate all parties affected by putting new applications into production.
S/he will work to address a variety of technical (hardware, software or application) problems.
S/he must also be customer-service oriented, able to build cooperative relationships with people and have effective oral and written communication skills.
Job holder must be an experienced problem solver who thinks creatively about solutions and adapts easily to changing priorities.
A.S., B.S., B.A., or equivalent work experience required; certifications are beneficial.

Work Environment:

Production support - daylight and off hours on-call
Project Implementation - on/off hours/weekends
Security patching - on/off hours/weekends

Corp Tech Production Services own some of the most critical responsibilities at BNY Mellon. To ensure these responsibilities are met, our team members need to exhibit ownership, accountability, and an eagerness to learn. As a member of our team, you will have a lead role in contributing to the success of a suite of applications supporting BNY Mellon's Human Resources, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Regulatory, Legal and Corporate Treasury functions. If you like learning how applications work and fixing problems using your engineering skills, you are going to love our team.
