Carta is seeking an experienced product manager in San Francisco, Palo Alto, Seattle, or New York City to lead product development of the data-driven tools, platforms, and services powering the ownership graph: the central registry of asset ownership across the globe.
As a Data Platform & Product Manager at Carta, you'll work cross-functionally on strategy, planning, and execution within our fast-growing Data & Machine Learning organization. You'll be responsible for evangelizing the use of data-driven decision making across the company, as well as defining requirements and leading our product development efforts to make data accurate and available to stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in software engineering, statistical modeling, machine learning, and data infrastructure; as well as deep product management skills and experience managing data platforms. Candidates must be excited by "zero to one" projects, and enjoy working closely with engineering, design, business, and marketing.
Define requirements and lead our product development efforts to make data accurate and available to stakeholders
Collaborate with cross functional teams to make data-driven decisions across the organization by leveraging descriptive and predictive analytics where it will have material impact
Own, coordinate, and solve complex, cross functional problems that extend beyond the traditional boundaries of product domains, analytics, and data science
Establish and communicate the product strategy and roadmap to our executive team
At least 6 years experience working on data-driven products, platforms, or services -- at least 3 of those years as a product manager
Bachelor's degree (Master's degree a plus) in Computer Science or a closely-related field, or equivalent work experience
Strong roadmapping, sprint-planning, and project-management skills
Proficiency with data processing technologies like SQL, Apache Spark, Logstash, Looker
Strong background in probability, statistical modeling, experimentation, and machine learning
A collaborative attitude and a helpful personality
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
some experience with financial data and private equity
Extra bonus: you've managed product managers in the past, but aren't afraid to get your hands dirty
