This Lead Business Analyst is a seasoned hands-on team leader, bringing proven BA work experience in a software product environment. The role will involve writing requirements, providing direction, and mentoring a group of consultants focused on ensuring parity between our UKG Pro SaaS product with legacy UKG Pro functionality.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Owning the definition and direction of features and enhancements

  • Defining stories and conditions of acceptance with other stakeholders' input including UX Designers, Developers and QA

  • Requirement prioritization and evaluating trade-offs

  • Collaborating on detailed functional designs, using Agile methodologies and tools

  • Participating in customer meetings to get a better understanding of customer ideas/issues

  • Communicating with multiple stakeholders including customers, prospects, as well as internal stakeholders and synthesize multiple inputs

  • Validating proposed value with customers and prospects using research, prototypes, and designs

  • Being obsessed with the success of the enhancement and delivering value to customers.


  • 5 or more years of BA experience in the payroll and/or tax domain, and preferably with UKG Pro payroll, with 1 or more years of proven team/project leadership experience.

  • Understanding of human resource domains and empathy for target customers

  • Strong analytical skills to understand business needs and create granular level requirements

  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment to solve business problems

  • Think imaginatively and intuitively while quickly grasping and synthesizing new ideas

  • Proven leadership, analytical, decision-making, and team building skills

  • Exceptional partnership skills; ability to inspire and lead development team without management authority

  • Ability to work independently and balance multiple priorities
