Job Description:
The Lead Process Engineer is a working supervisor over the technical staff (engineers and technicians) that are responsible for all the design of processes and equipment used in the manufacturing facilities. This includes interacting with, and giving guidance to, the manufacturing engineers and maintenance technicians for the operation of, and repairing, production equipment. The Lead Process Engineer is responsible for the Process Specification and the Equipment Specifications for all manufacturing processes and equipment. This position has global responsibility for all cylinder manufacturing and Mobile Pipeline system manufacturing. This position has responsibility for MES activity in cylinder manufacturing and Mobile Pipeline system manufacturing.
Duties and Responsibilities
Successfully complete work you're leading within the stated cost and schedule
Work as a member of a project team
Design safe and reliable manufacturing processes
To design processes for, manufacturing composite pressure vessels, mobile pipeline systems.
To design MES solutions for the business.
To prepare the process design package
To define and lead process validation activities
To develop new manufacturing technologies
Support the Value Stream in assigned areas of responsibility
Problem solving and implementation of solutions
To represent Agility in a professional manner, in keeping with its standards of conduct
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge in the field manufacturing machine design
Knowledge in the field of automation and NC controlled equipment
Knowledge in the field of mechanical measurement
Knowledge of MES methods, SQL, and database structures
SCADA data gathering and monitoring of production systems
Practical experience with ERP systems
Practical experience with the ISO/TS 16949 Quality Management System
Practical experience with AIAG APQP and PPAP processes
Familiarity with the principles of lean manufacturing
General computer skills and proficiency with standard office software
Practical experience with solid modeling and drafting
Credentials and Experience
A Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Ag Engineering and/or commensurate combination of work experience and education is required
Experience working in a regulated industry (i.e. aerospace, automotive) preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of related experience
Other Skills/Abilities or Special Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, and walk eight hours per day and carry up to 20 pounds
Occasional travel, both domestic and international
