As the Lead Platform/Technical Product Owner, you will be responsible for defining and prioritizing the product backlog, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring that the development team delivers high-quality features that meet the customer needs, enterprise platform requirements, and business goals. You will communicate the product platform vision, roadmap, and progress to internal and external audiences, and provide feedback and guidance to the development team.

This position will be located at our beautiful Deerfield Beach, FL campus and will require a regular monthly onsite presence.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as an experienced specialist, guiding Platform or Product teams through IT-related activities for a complex Business Unit capability area, involving definition, development, maintenance, and operation of systems, as well as ensuring the area's technology landscape is up-to-date.

  • Define, refine, and drive delivery for the backlog of technical capabilities required to deliver the overall platform, ensuring that it aligns with the overall product vision, strategy, and customer value proposition.

  • Implement capability aligned to value stream / business function technology strategy.

  • Responsible for end-to-end delivery of capability and functionality within their product scope in alignment with the customer's needs

  • Manage products or platforms, and enhancements to meet the technology strategy.

  • Work closely with the delivery team with a specific focus on DevSecOps, architecture, security, and infrastructure, providing clear and concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and feedback that effectively meet enterprise requirements.

  • Collaborate with the business, design, and engineering teams, as well as external stakeholders and customers, to understand the market needs, user pain points, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Define value to proposed new features and backlog.

  • Manage the technical capability roadmap, prioritizing the features and tasks based on the functional value, stakeholder feedback, and technical feasibility.

  • Plan and facilitate agile ceremonies, such as program increment planning, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective.

  • Monitor and evaluate the infrastructure and engineering process performance, using data and metrics to measure the impact and validate the hypotheses.

  • Communicate the product vision, roadmap, and progress to internal and external audiences, using various channels and formats.

Qualifications:

  • At least five years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, solution architect or Business Analyst in a software development environment.

  • Experience in the automotive or insurance industry is a plus.

  • General knowledge of cloud-native services, orchestration, microservice architecture, and API- and event-driven architectural principles. Experience with Azure platforms is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and requirements.

  • Ability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively, and to translate user needs and business goals into actionable product features.

  • Proficient in using tools such as Azure DevOps Boards to manage the product backlog and roadmap.

  • Proficient in tools such as GitHub for code and pipeline management

  • Ability to collaborate with and provide direction to globally distributed teams.
