What this job involves

  • Under supervision/coaching, the incumbent is required to coordinate scheduling, planning, implementation, documentation, and follow-up of all tasks required for a building-based maintenance team. This includes interpreting data from the CMMS work order system; schedule all emergency and general maintenance repairs to equipment and buildings. Have necessary skills to communicate with FM&E department representatives, and all internal and external customers. Support Pharmaceutical/Biotech goals and departments business initiatives.

What is your day to day?

  • Manage a professional Planners team.

  • Provide work planning and scheduling function for a self-directed work team.

  • Provide logistical coordination with other stakeholders (i.e., stock support, janitorial, grounds, purchasing, customers, security, and predictive maintenance).

  • Maintain intermediate to high computer skills necessary to access CMMS work order system, update equipment history, and access parts/material inventory management system.

  • Schedule work with production departments, print appropriate work orders when scheduled, track and report on the completion of work.

  • Provide input to department quarterly report.

  • Coordinate and provide primary control of building, site utilities and utility distribution drawings.

  • Establish and maintain equipment SOP's, MIP, and GMP files.

  • Coordinate proper safety permitting and provides control of shutdowns, startups, and building services in support of building projects.

  • Communicate clearly, understand, and acknowledge verbal instructions, and be able to read and interpret work from drawings, written work orders, sketches, blueprints, and technical manuals.

  • Estimate work-order completion times and compare it to actual.

  • Present performance data to maintenance teams regularly.

  • Develop and maintain standard workflow process and provide a (1) month look-ahead Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedule to the team weekly.

  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as requested.

  • All other duties and tasks assigned.

Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:

  • Associate Degree or Technical School preferred

  • 5+ years' experience working in a multi-trade environment preferred.

  • Pharmaceutical maintenance/manufacturing/research facilities experience is preferred.

  • Preferred associate degree or combined technical training / direct experience.

  • Preferred 5-10 years' experience working multi-trade environment and maintaining chemical synthesis/fermentation production equipment.

  • Preferred Pharmaceutical/Biotech manufacturing research facilities experience.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High School Graduate is Required.

  • Prior maintenance planning coordination experience.

  • Must have a detailed understanding of effective scheduling, estimating, and workflow processes in a maintenance environment.

  • Track, verify, and report Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance indicators weekly to the team and coordinate with team to improve performance and meet objectives.

  • Must have good communication skills (written, oral and people skills) to sustain superior customer and team interaction.

  • Must possess (or obtain within a specified time frame) all applicable training and certifications such as: Respirator, Hazard Communication, Lockout / Tagout, and Confined Space.

  • Strong knowledge and experience in facility planning, including space utilization, equipment layout, and infrastructure.

  • Understanding of the unique requirements and regulations specific to facilities, such as cleanroom specifications, HVAC systems, safety protocols, and handling hazardous materials.

  • Proficiency in various computer programs such as MS Word, Access, Excel, Project, Outlook, etc.

  • Must be a team player, committed to working in a quality environment and be able to work independently.

  • Maintain professional and customer-oriented relationships with team members, internal customers, and building occupants.

  • Understand customer requirements and coordinate interface with other teams for various support requirements.

Estimated compensation for this position is:

70,000.00 - 88,000.00 USD per year

The pay range listed is a total compensation range including bonus, if applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
