Minneapolis VA Health Care System (VAHCS) is a teaching hospital providing a full range of patient care services with state-of-the-art technology, as well as education and research. Responsibilities

Be a part of this dynamic and rapidly growing clinic in a great location! Our practice is that of a small community-based private practice set in a friendly central Wisconsin community.

A Family Practice or Internal Medicine trained primary care Lead Physician is sought for a VA clinic in Rice Lake/Hayward, Wisconsin. The Clinics are open Monday through Friday and closed on all federal holidays.

There are no weekend duties and no call. Take time with your patients. Visits for established patients are 30 minutes and for new patients 60 minutes.

Our facilities include an updated fully-equipped medical clinic with a lab and telemedicine capabilities. Our physicians serve the primary care health needs of Rice Lake/Hayward and rural areas using a team approach with nursing and onsite clinical pharmacist. Mental Health services within the clinic help to provide comprehensive care to the Veterans served in this VA Community Clinic.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed.
Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Completion of residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
Proficiency in spoken and written English.

2-3 years clinical experience
