Qualifications
What you'll do as a Lead Floor Technician
Supervise floor staff, helping technicians perform their work accurately, efficiently, and consistently throughout the shift.
Support all pharmacy departments to ensure medications are prepared accurately and timely.
Schedule floor technicians to ensure staffing requirements of the shift are met; assist in training new staff and coordinating ongoing programs.
Participate in interdisciplinary process improvement, development, and implementation.
Interface with management and vendors to resolve issues, maintain supply items, and ensure uninterrupted workflow.
What we need
Current unencumbered license in the state of practice: Certified Pharmacy Technician (certification not required for Illinois Pharmacy Technicians licensed before 2008).
Experience in long-term care or hospital pharmacy and competency in aseptic IV preparation required.
Supervisory experience a plus.
Excellent math, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills required.
Every other weekend and 3 holidays per year required.
