We are seeking a skilled and experienced Team Lead to join our team at our facility in Montgomery, IL.The Team Lead will coordinate activities of Material Coordinators while providing training, monitoring production, quality, and adjusting work assignments.
Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Safely operate powered fork trucks.
Operate all electronic scales.
Manage the process of performing cycle counts periodically to maintain control of inventory counts throughout the year.
Direct Material Coordinator(s) to coordinate components for work orders that are released for staging, including reporting FCN to Production Planning for work order creation using FIFO practice.
Direct and/or perform the duties of receiving parts for storage, distribute parts to their proper place on a shelf, at a machine or staging area.
Identify stock levels and notify Production Planning Department of shortages.
Manage the training and processing of all computer related tasks listed on Material Coordinator needs analysis.
Assist Material Coordinators in lifting or moving parts.
Manage the process to identify and tag parts correctly. Seek collateral help from Q.A. when necessary.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED (validation is required)
Able to handle multiple competing tasks and priorities, and perform quality work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Takes proactive approach in anticipating, identifying, and solving problems and makes necessary changes so problems do not occur in the future.
Strong leadership and people management skills
Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
Ability to stand for 8+ hours daily
