Overview

GENERAL PURPOSE: Assist the parking facility manager in directing daily activities of the parking facility, coordinating staff and associated concerns of similar areas by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities
1.Maintain various reports. 2. Work with guests to arrange and follow through on all parking related details and to ensure all special requests are met. 3. Acts as a liaison between the guest and the property staff. This person participates in arranging and coordinating parking details, bus tours, special events, employee parking and other occurrences that require parking. 4. Lead, train and inspect performance of assigned staff, ensuring that all procedures are completed to company and property standards. 5. Assists parking manager with inspecting the parking facilities to ensure that equipment and buildings meet requirements of state and local health codes and safety regulations. 6. Investigates and resolves customer service complaints with the assistance from the parking facility manager

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Education: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license. Minimal travel outside the property may be required.

Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Supervisory Responsibility: Manage 3-5 subordinate leads who supervise a total of 30 employees in the parking facility.

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluations of the stated units. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Xanterra policies and procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: training employees; planning, assigning, and direction of work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving concerns.

Guest Service Decision Making Level Ability to make decisions in regards to Guest Service issues. Areas for decision making include monetary discounts, parking space assignments, handling and resolving of complaints and authorizing reports to resolve guest issues.

Has the ability to extend complimentary parking fee for frustrated guests. The most common guest issues will involve our technology. Examples include; Guests dealing with payment machines that are experiencing temporary technical difficulties.

Guests opting to forgo validating their ticket at a pay on foot station, and do not have a credit card to validate their ticket at the pay in lane station.Position is allowed to offer pre-validated parking tickets to resolve issues with frustrated guests. Position is also allowed to authorize parking in spaces up the bus lanes near the pergola for guests with mobility problems who need to be near the Information Center to check out wheelchairs.
