Overview

The Lead Parking Attendant is responsible for managing the daily and event parking, traffic, pedestrian, and guest service operations on the campus of the Greenville Convention Center. The Lead Parking Attendant will be the first point of contact in providing a memorable first impression for all guests and employees by providing directions and answering any questions guests may have.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $16.

Responsibilities

• Control/monitor entrance and exit of all guests and employees in and out of the parking lots.

• Provide all guests a positive first impression by offering excellent customer service.

• Manage and troubleshoot Point of Sale devices and other applicable software.

• Address all problems and concerns in a timely manner.

• Keep all traffic flowing both in and out of the parking lots.

• Monitor parking lots for safety and security of guests, employees, and vehicles.

• Provide guests with directions and other venue information.

• Direct guests and employees to available parking spaces while maximizing the number of vehicles per lot.

• Direct guests on how to properly pay or use parking vouchers.

• Maintain a neat and clean appearance during all scheduled shifts.

• Manage and assist the parking attendance with the parking payment process.

• Clear and open/close parking lots before and after events

• Set parking equipment as needed per the parking plan.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in parking/transportation management, event management preferred.

• Knowledge of parking management systems and traffic safety.

• Must have the ability to work flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Must be comfortable working with the public and have strong interpersonal and communications skills.

• Valid driver license required.

Physical Demands:

• Must have the ability to walk for extended periods of time.

Work Environment:

• The duties of this position are split between office environment and outdoors on event days. Be prepared to work in different weather conditions.
