Lead Oracle Applications Database Administrator (, Inc., Midvale, UT)

Multiple openings available. Use strong communication skills (oral and written) to collaborate with Database Administrators team to maintain Oracle EBS applications R12.2.x, Oracle Real Application Clusters Production (RAC), Development Databases and Physical Standbys. Manage the EBS team by developing goals and objectives, conducting performance appraisals of associates, and developing policies and procedures to govern teams' actions. Maintain production and test instances using Structured Query Language (SQL) Loader, Recovery Manager (RMAN), TOAD, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and Oracle Grid 11g and 12c, using SQL to write and modify queries and tune statements. Work on different storage technologies, including Hitachi Network Attached Storage (HNAS), Snapshots (SNAP). Use JIRA, Subversion or other tools for release and change/incident management, and for migrating deployments to production. Plan and perform Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Upgrades to the latest patch set level. Deep understanding of the Advanced Online Patching Utility (ADOP) and its various phases. Ability to apply Database and Real Application Cluster (RAC) Patch Set Updates (PSU) in an EBS environment configured with multiple Data Guard physical standby databases. Ability to Configure, Monitor and troubleshoot Concurrent Requests and Managers in an EBS environment utilizing Parallel Concurrent Processing (PCP). Upgrading Oracle Fusion Middleware Technology Stack of Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 to the latest 11gR1 *11.1.1.x. Experience planning and performing Applications DBA (AD) and EBS Technology Stack (TXK) tools code level upgrades. Experience configuring, patching and administering a shared Applications Tier File System. Experience adding managed servers, application nodes and tuning components within Weblogic Server. Coordinate resources to meet business objectives, develop technical migration plans, and ensure high availability of systems. Plan, build, and monitor Physical Standby Databases, resolve gap and synch issues, and perform switch over and failover activities associated with Disaster Recovery (DR). Provide enterprise-wide support for production, development, project works and staging systems, working with third party teams and with different groups. Utilize hands on experience in Hardware Exadata with exalogic and weblogic/FMW technologies to work on WebLogic and Fusion Middleware components to build and support the latest EBS R12.2.x version. Use strong communication skills (oral and written) to conduct weekly Oracle EBS DBA on-call support, on-call DBA tasks, and deploys. Partner with auditors to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). Strong interpersonal skills - including the use of written, electronic, and oral communication. Sound reasoning, analytical, and problem solving aptitude; Detail oriented. Creating user accounts, roles and controlling access permissions and privileges at the UNIX and Database level and the added considerations when utilizing. Experience with Shell Scripting in a Linux environment. A working understanding of networks, firewalls, F5 load balancers, Network File System (NFS), Storage Are Network (SAN) disk storage, SSL protocols and configuration, and IT security. Sound understanding of managing objects in an Edition Based Redefinition (EBR) database associated with Oracle EBS.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or U.S. equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related field, plus 5 years of professional experience using Oracle EBS DBA (R12 / 11i versions). Must also have the following: 2 years of experience utilizing Fusion Middleware (FMW) and WebLogic technology FMW components; 2 year of professional experience patching; 1 year of professional experience performing data base design, performance tuning, and backup and recovery; 1 year of professional experience performing and conducting Oracle EBS upgrades; 1 year of professional experience in overseeing the full software development lifecycle.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires you to sit, stand and perform general office functions. You may also be required to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Bending, stooping and reaching are also frequently required.
