We are currently seeking a talented Network Support Engineer to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering cutting-edge network solutions.

Job Description:

As a Lead Network Support Engineer at Applied Digital, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting our network infrastructure. You will work closely with our network engineers, architects, and leaders to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our network systems. This position offers a hybrid work model based out of our Irving office, providing you with both flexibility and the opportunity for hands-on engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues reported by end-users.

  • Monitor network performance and respond to alerts or incidents in a timely manner.

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.

  • Collaborate with network engineers to implement network changes and upgrades.

  • Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

  • Assist in the implementation of network security measures and compliance with industry standards.

  • Perform regular network audits and recommend improvements to enhance performance and reliability.

  • Maintain inventory of network equipment and spare parts.

  • Engage in continuous improvement discussions & planning.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in a network support or similar role.

  • Proficiency in network troubleshooting methodologies and tools.

  • Familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.

  • Experience with network hardware installation, configuration, and maintenance.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Networking, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent.

  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.

  • Fortinet experience/certification.
