Position Summary:
The Lead Laboratory Technologist oversees department specific duties such as policy/procedure creation and renewal, analyzer maintenance and service needs, ordering of consumables, record retention and review, quality numbers and reports, staff training and competency, and all other duties as requested by leadership.
Qualifications
Education: Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or other related clinical science field from an accredited institution or equivalent acceptable education as defined by CLIA.
Certification: ASCP, ASCPi, AMT, AAB or NCA (formerly HEW)
Experience: Minimum of 1-year previous hospital laboratory experience
Preferences
Education: Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
