We are seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our skilled cross functional team. If you are

  • Lead mechanical and thermal design for Solid State Circuit Breakers

  • Use FEA software to validate structural and thermal performance

  • Align development team to assure key product features are met and cost, performance tradeoffs are clearly communicated

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering

    • 10 years experience developing innovative electro-mechanical products
  • Experience leading and mentoring an engineering team

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to clearly communicate technical attributes and tradeoffs

  • Expertise designing with 3D solid modelling software (Solidworks)

  • Experience developing products for high volume production

  • Expertise designing with various materials from aluminum, sheet metal to plastics

  • Proficient with FEA simulations and analysis

  • Proficient in thermal simulations and analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Creative problem solving, with experience in statistical analysis, failure analysis, root cause investigation and design of experiments

  • Strong understanding of material properties and how underlying physical properties influence design and reliability

  • Experience designing products in safety critical applications

  • UL experience / process knowledge

The Lead Field Maintenance Technician provides guidance to Field Maintenance Staff along with performing a wide variety of duties including repairs, troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance at our properties. This is a tenant facing position that helps to preserve the functionality and condition of the homes while maintaining a clean and safe work environment and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities * Performs oversight and performance management for assigned team * Provides coaching, feedback & training that supports the continuous improvement of previously delivered objectives and goals * Performs system tune-up; checks breakers; replaces capacitors; identifies system leaks; replaces fan motors and Freon * Utilizes an HVAC testing package to test the efficiency of the system * Performs troubleshooting support for plumbing, garage door, irrigation, and electrical issues Requirements * High school diploma or GED required. * Minimum of Four (4) years of Residential/Property maintenance or related experience required. Experience must include the use of: * Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory/lead experience preferred * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required. * Demonstrated knowledge of occupational hazards and safety methods (OSHA) required. * Driver's license required. * Universal EPA Certification required * HVAC certification required. * Associate degree or technical training certification desired. * Experience with FiledOne and CRM desired. * Excellent verbal and written communication, time management and problem-solving skills. * Must be able to multi-task. * Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment. * Must be able to work in a team environment. * Must be able to pay close attention to details. * Must be able to adapt and flex to a changing environment. * Must be able to speak, read, and write in English. * Must be able to perform basic measurements and calculations. * Must be able to operate a motor vehicle. * Must be able to climb ladders (A-frame and extension ladders) to perform: * tree trimming with the use of a handsaw or clippers * removal of debris and leaves from roof gutters * Must be able to use the following equipment: * wrenches, claw hammer, Allen wrenches (SAE and metric), band cutters, wire strippers, needle nose pliers, channel locks, 3-foot level, torpedo level, multimeter (CAT III+), breaker bar, clamps and AC manifold gauge set * Must be able to operate and maintain the following power tools: * Cordless drill * Impact driver * Reciprocating saw (Sawzall) * Circular saw * Pressure Washer * Air compressor & air tools * The position is considered medium to heavy work - involves lifting no more than 100 pounds at a time with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 70 pounds. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 70 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 30 pounds of force constantly to move objects. * Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer screen; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, using measurement devices. * Required to have visual acuity to perform any mechanical or skilled trades tasks of a non-repetitive nature, such as carpenter, technicians, service people, plumbers, painters, mechanics, etc. * Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment. * Occasionally required to climb, balance, crawl, repetitive motion, and carry objects. * Constantly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, grasp and drive.
