This position will be a Lead role on the second shift.

The Role

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor in-bound product for expedited stock and ensure to expedite accordingly.

  • Assist Shipping Supervisor in ensuring all products get done

  • Assist Shipping Supervisor in leading the team

  • Monitor all unreleased deliveries to assist in resolution, so product can be shipped.

  • Monitor all rush/must ship orders and ensure shipping guidelines are met.

  • Assist with required stock verification needed prior to a delivery being created.

  • Identify and communicate any picks that are not completed timely to Shipping Supervisors.

  • Assist employees in following outbound shipping requirements for customers and eliminate any delays.

  • Communicate crating/special packaging needs by order/item and ensure proper guidelines are followed.

  • Monitor all deliveries to insure timely shipping.

  • Insure tracking is entered for all shipments.

  • Log all expedited deliveries and communicate tracking or issues to corporate office.

  • Assist Shipping Supervisor in distributing picking assignments to maximize efficiencies.

  • Investigate root cause and corrective actions for any customer service failures involving timeliness of shipments.

  • Utilize MS Office, Outlook, Excel, SAP and other programs as necessary

  • Be flexible and work necessary overtime as prescribed or needed.

  • Effectively take on other duties as assigned/necessary.

What We Are Looking For

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

  • Ability to function in an office/shop environment.

EDUCATION

  • Typically High School Diploma

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures for supervised work group(s). Demonstrates understanding and application of supervisory approaches for work direction, motivation, performance management, and disciplinary action. Typically up to 3 years of successful experience in a directly related field and successful demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge as presented above.

DIRECTION OF OTHERS:

Typically supervises hourly employees, typically in a manufacturing or production environment.

Primarily intra-organizational contacts and limited external contacts

VIEW JOBS 4/21/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-20T00:00 Job Title: Sr Strategic Sourcing Specialist- Memphis TN Job Description: A Sr. Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for the support of the New Product Introduction teams to ensure that supplier involvement and selection are aligned with the Supplier and Commodity Strategies to drive cost savings, leverage existing business and product platforms while ensuring lowest total cost and risk to the New Product pipeline. The Sr. Strategic Sourcing Specialist will also support the Supplier and Commodity projects assigned by the Global Sourcing Manager. Sr. Strategic Sourcing Specialist will provide mentoring, training and leadership within the department. High level of decision making that requires ability in problem solving, analysis, reasoning, and creativity. Essential Job Functions * Integrate and Organize the New Product Introduction process to ensure Strategic and Preferred suppliers are utilized. Including but not limited to quoting prototypes and managing product to a launched state. * Drive resolution to New Product Introduction issues within Supply Chain and the Supplier Management * Ensure supplier process capabilities are adequate for product requirements and identify solutions to barriers to support successful implementation of New Product Introduction. * Coordinate supplier meetings between cross-functional teams to track and manage issues leading into the launch phase for new products. * Communicate status of New Product Introduction to meet the expected timelines and deliverables. * Support the Strategic Commodity Execution process * Alignment to cost savings initiatives and supplier management strategy * Work in conjunction with Global Quality to ensure that elements of the Quality Management System are supported by departmental functions; including but not limited to supplier qualification. Skills: * Must be able to manage projects, adapt to changing priorities and multiple deadlines at a rapid pace. * Ability to be pro-active, results oriented while working in a multi-cultural environment. * Microsoft Excel experience with ability to create formulas, pivot tables and perform intermediate to advanced functions. * Thorough working knowledge of: * ERP/MRP systems and use of associated purchasing and inventory modules * Supplier assessment and negotiation principles * Microsoft Office suite software * Basic Accounting Principles * Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability and willingness to communicate effectively and influence cross-functional team members, as well as external contacts. * Must be detailed oriented with strong organization skills. * Must be self-directed and have a willingness to become a Subject Matter Expert for the department and team. * Working knowledge of Negotiation and Supply Agreements.
