The Engineering, Modifications, and Maintenance horizontal capability in Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking qualified candidates for Lead Manufacturing Engineer who will be accountable to the Defense Complex Spares Engineering Manager.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead complex spares assembly analyses for product improvement/BOM management.

  • Manage production/tooling strategies for tactical aircraft platforms that result in first time quality.

  • Lead role guiding manufacturing engineering team, assignment will support new source stand up and production of F/A-18 A-D Flight Control Surfaces.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • Experience in manufacturing engineering for major end item assemblies.

Typical Education / Experience:

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

VIEW JOBS 4/21/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-20T00:00 The Systems Engineering and Integration for the National Systems for Geospatial-Intelligence program delivers full life-cycle systems integration and engineering services to the missions of its customer. This program is chartered to provide technical leadership for many of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's (NGA's) highest priorities and projects. The National Systems for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) Requirements Engineering Skill Center (RESC) leads efforts to capture users' needs by performing requirements elicitation directly with users, decomposition of requirements, performing deep dive analysis of requirements to identify gaps and areas of redundancy and provide thought leadership to requirements processes and the baseline. The RESC, in supporting the customer's TAEB organization performs extensive collaboration with other engineering disciplines to realize the shared goal of creating a comprehensive, defendable baseline. To be successful in this role, the Requirements Engineer must be able to: * Provide servant leadership to a team of 32 contractors from different companies in different locations * Build influence with both GPOCs and contractors outside the RESC project team to reach consensus on engineering processes and engineering data management for a future MBSE implementation * Perform strong customer relationship management with geographically dispersed GPOCs * Mentor other team members both within and outside of the RESC with regards to general requirements engineering subject matter * Facilitate sometimes large meetings with the goal of reaching common understanding and consensus from an array of viewpoints * Understand and articulate strategic, enterprise and program level requirements along with the interactions between the different levels * Provide vision and guidance for the application of agile methodologies for Success Criteria/requirements in mixed waterfall and agile environments * Leverage the As-Is and To-Be architectures for requirements analysis * Communicate and document both strategic and implementation level criteria/requirements to an array of audiences that may have different levels of understanding The RESC team also performs enterprise level requirements analysis for many different efforts across the agency. These efforts include technical analysis of the request to provide recommendations for fulfillment of the request and on occasion require working with customers to define a request in further detail.
