HomeRiver Group is looking to hire an experienced full-time Lead Maintenance Technician that is skilled, who can provide exceptional customer service skills, and perform a variety of general maintenance and repair work for multi-family properties.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN LEAD MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

As our Lead Maintenance Technician, you will lead all maintenance functions for a multi-family property and will collaborate and oversee the inspections and triage property issues to determine the necessary repairs. You will help develop a strong maintenance team and oversee the day-to-day operations. Not only will you cohesively work with the maintenance coordinator, property inspector, property manager, outside vendors to determine additional budget and scope as needed, but complete approved scope of work based on a budget and timing constraints including light plumbing and electrical, HVAC (if certified), carpentry, drywall, painting, etc. It is your responsibility to log accurate notes and photographs of completed work orders to report back to the maintenance coordinating team. You will maintain company vehicles, if applicable and ensure correct parts and inventory are present at the beginning of each day.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A LEAD MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 3+ years in hands-on Property Maintenance.

  • High level of critical thinking/problem solving skills to diagnose problems and recommend solutions.

  • Ability to operate with a sense of urgency.

  • Ability to work independently and be a self starter.

  • Experience with repair and installation of basic light plumbing and electrical, appliances, drywall repair, painting, carpentry, rekeying locks, and other general maintenance repairs.

  • Ability to manage a team, time and projects to ensure competition in allotted time.

  • Ability to use an iPad and other technology as needed in the performance of daily tasks to maintain schedule, accurate service ticket notes, system updates, inspection, etc.

  • Appliance and HVAC certification highly desirable.

  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required in order to drive the provided vehicle, if applicable.
