Assists Maintenance and Property Managers in the oversight and training of maintenance staff while actively working as a technician.
Maintenance Technicians engage in preserving and repairing physical structures of buildings and units, and maintaining the grounds by performing the essential duties of the position as discussed below.
Assists the Maintenance Manager and Property Managers with assigned tasks including, but not limited to; providing feedback for employee reviews, assists in technician training, ensure monthly preventative checklists are accomplished, walk units to address issues and follow-up accordingly until resolved.
Determine if maintenance employees are using proper time management skills and train when needed if tasks are taking more time than necessary.
Initiate inventory tracking to determine when parts are used and when ordering is warranted.
Maintaining streets and common areas of the community. This may include the use of a fire hose for cleaning the street or power lift for maintaining the street lights.
Absorbs and complies with laws/policies regarding Federal, State and Municipal Fair Housing Laws, The Tenant Landlord Act, and the Federal and State Safety Regulations.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
