Position Summary

The chief purpose of the Development Center of Excellence (COE) is to bring out the best of every person and the best of every team, so that we can deliver the best of our Firm to our clients.

The Development COE focuses on:

  • Bringing out the leader in every person

  • A holistic approach to development that emphasizes not just education, but also self-awareness, exposure to real-world problems, and connections to people

  • Positioning our people to help tackle some of the most complex issues in business, our communities, and society at large

The Team

Due to the regulatory requirements and oversight of the PCAOB, members of the Audit Talent Development team are often asked to respond to multiple, random, urgent requests re: curriculum content, delivery logistics and timing, and in process development. As such, it is critical that development specialists can effectively cope with change and shift gears comfortably. It is critical that development specialists are comfortable aligning communication, people, culture, processes, resources and systems to ensure effective implementation and delivery of required results. Our Audit Talent Development Team works primarily and almost exclusively in a virtual environment. As such, it is important that development specialists are able to allocate their own time efficiently, handle multiple demands and competing priorities on their own with, at times, little direct supervision from others, manage meetings effectively over the phone, and recognize and demonstrate engagement and support for their team by actively participating on calls, raising questions and sharing their opinions appropriately.

Work you'll do

  • Support the design, development, pilot, delivery, and evaluation of innovative learning and capability development solutions that support Deloitte Audit & Assurance professionals' performance and growth

  • Execute L&D strategies in collaboration with Development COE Leadership, senior Audit & Assurance leaders, and cross-functional Talent stakeholders

  • Conduct and leverage market research for learning innovations, new technologies, and benchmarks to create and deploy leading practice learning experiences

  • Support the design and development cycle of innovative solutions within one or more Learning Modernization strategy pillars (e.g., Adaptive learning, Proficiency assessments, Item analysis and test writing, etc.)

  • Support and collaborate with project teams, which may include Development Specialists and Peers, Subject Matter Resources, Delivery Managers, vendors, and India-based instructional designers and technical teams, to ensure the effective development and delivery of experiments, pilots, portfolio innovation strategies, and processes

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and Deloitte policies and guidelines related to Continuing Professional Education and quality requirements

  • Build, manage, and leverage positive, collaborative partnerships among business stakeholders, SMRs and peers

  • Support the design and measurement of program and solution metrics, including data analytics and reporting

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree; at least 4 years of related experience

  • Demonstrated analytics experience; ability to analyze and synthesize both quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources to identify themes and develop compelling recommendations

  • Demonstrated, end-to-end project/program management experience: conception and initiation, planning, execution, performance/monitoring, and project close

  • Demonstrated consultative approach: excellent communication and influencing skills to communicate effectively and credibly, both verbally and in writing, with audiences at all management levels

  • Highly creative, divergent thinker; demonstrated ability to think outside the box and contribute innovative ideas, approaches, and solutions

  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced, complex, multi-tasking virtual environment

  • Strong command of MS Office skills and ability to produce deliverables that carry a "stamp of excellence."

  • Ability to travel 20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred:

  • Advanced degrees or certifications in Organizational Behavior or Industrial / Organizational Psychology

  • Prior consulting or professional services experience

  • Experience leading and delivering strategic communications and change management strategies

  • Experience working in learning and development or talent management organizations
