Job Summary

Supervisor of diagnostic team in the Parasitology laboratory. Insure quality and timely diagnostic service. Serve as primary contact for clients. Lead development efforts for new tests and improvements to current tests.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in microbiology/parasitology or related field

  • Two years of experience in all phases of diagnostic medical microbiology, parasitology, or related laboratory work

  • Experience in supervising laboratory personnel and scheduling/coordinating work teams

  • Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required experience (associate's degree and 4 years of experience or high school diploma/GED and 6 years of experience)

  • Extensive knowledge of all phases of a diagnostic microbiology/parasitology laboratory

  • Laboratory management and coordination

  • Problem solving skills

Preferred:

  • Veterinary diagnostic microbiology/parasitology experience

Additional Information:

  • This was formerly classified as an operational/technical position; an internal lateral transfer will retain same benefit standing

  • Purdue will not sponsor employment authorization for this position

  • FLSA: Non-Exempt (Eligible For Overtime)
