Our challenge

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Java Developer with ACH API (PEP+ Direct API) experience.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $130k - $140k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of ACH transaction processing systems using PEP+ Direct APIs.

• Develop high-quality software design and architecture by leveraging hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, J2EE, and web services.

• Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaborative problem-solving.

• Drive projects from conception to final product, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budget.

• Develop and support cloud-based applications and migrations, with a focus on Azure cloud services.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of payment processing solutions.

• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

• Implement security and data protection measures.

• Stay abreast of new industry trends, technologies, and best practices, integrating them into operations and activities.

Requirements:

You are:

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in Java development (Spring Boot, Java, J2EE, web services).

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in leading software development projects.

• Extensive experience with ACH APIs, especially PEP+ Direct API.

• Proficiency in cloud environments, preferably Azure.

• Solid experience in Agile software development methodologies.

• Strong leadership and project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and to specification.

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

It would be great if you also had:

• Azure certifications or other relevant cloud technology credentials.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
