Broadridge is hiring. Our Newark (2 Gateway Plaza) office is seeking a talented and passionate Full Stack Lead Java Developer to become a member of a strategic modernization team. This team is currently responsible for transforming several critical post trade processing applications into cloud deployable micro services.

Responsibilities:

  • You'll write maintainable code with extensive test coverage- Junit testing has been our standard.

  • Collaborate with other developers from other teams, as well as product strategy and business analysis teams.

  • You'll interpolate high level business requirements into functioning code within an agile environment.

  • You will build back-end services written in Java.

  • You will work effectively with team members in various geographic locations.

  • You'll serve as an individual contributor, while guiding and mentoring other team members.

Qualifications:

  • Computer Science / Engineering degree or equivalent experience

  • 10+ years of development experience in Java.

  • You will have familiarity with JSON.

  • Apache Camel experience when working with Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP).

  • Strong Eclipse based development and Spring framework.

  • You'll have Activemq (Amazon MQ) and AWS experience.

  • Able to interpolate high level business requirements into functioning code in an agile development paradigm is a requirement.

  • DevOps experience a + (Chef, Jenkins, etc.).

  • You are familiar with both Windows and Linux based development.

  • Familiarity with Java web application development and Spring is a plus.

  • Build tools experience. Maven is helpful.

  • You are a prolific coder who works well independently.

  • You have superb communication skills.

  • You read up on, experiment and have a passion for new technologies because it's in your nature, not because it's a job requirement.
