Broadridge is hiring a Lead Java Developer. Our Newark (2 Gateway Plaza) office is looking for a talented and passionate individual to become a member of a strategic modernization team. This team is currently responsible for transforming several mission critical post trade processing applications into cloud deployable micro services.
The ability to think "outside the box" with respect to application development will be an absolute necessity. We are looking for you to work effectively with team members in various geographic locations.

What You'll Do
You'll build back-end services written in Java. Knowledge of Spring is a big plus here.
You will write maintainable code with extensive test coverage. Junit testing has been our standard.
You'll collaborate with other developers from other teams, as well as product strategy and business analysis teams. The ability to interpolate high level business requirements into functioning code in an agile development paradigm is a requirement.
You have the passion to learn new technologies.
You'll be a full stack developer with the following skills:
A minimum of 10 years of development experience in Java.
Familiarity with Java web application development is a big plus.
Build tools experience. Maven is helpful.
Familiarity with JSON.
Apache Camel experience when working with Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP).
Expert at Eclipse based development
Activemq (Amazon MQ)
DevOps experience a + (Chef, Jenkins, etc.)
You are familiar with both Windows and Linux based development.
You are a prolific coder who works well independently
You have superb communication skills
Computer Science / Engineering degree or equivalent experience
You read up on and experiment with new technologies because it's in your nature, not because it's a job requirement
