Technology Monitoring and Control (TMC) supports BNY Mellon's critical resiliency priorities by monitoring the design, implementation and operation of controls that reinforce the integrity, security and resiliency of technology development and operations. TMC drives 1st Line of Defense Technology Risk Management and Technology Operational Risk, leads Technology Policy Management, delivers metrics reports on technology risks and controls, assesses critical infrastructure, applications and services, monitors associated controls, drives governance and oversight of risk remediation associated with cybersecurity, third-party governance, stability, and incident management, including disaster recovery and supports the design and execution of technology and information risk programs.

  • Partner with risk teams across BNY to build strong working relationships and to understand technology risk management practices

  • Drive consistency in how technology risks are treated across BNY and ensure alignment to the Technology Risk Model

  • Build requirements for the integration of the Technology Risk & Control library with enterprise GRC toolset

  • Lead working group to research and document risk treatment processes of service teams and configure workflows within GRC toolset

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of the Technology Risk Issues and Actions Directory (TRIAD) and proactively drive risk reduction

  • Develop risk reports to provide an accurate depiction of high risk areas and risk reduction progress

IT Risk Analyst, Specialist->> Identifies, analyzes, monitors and minimizes complex areas of risk that pertain to information technology. Coordinates closely with disaster recovery and data security teams.

May allocate/coordinate work within a team/project. Provides value input into risk reports. Presents reports to the business areas and Technology management.

Leads projects that involve working with the businesses to improve controls that would mitigate any deficiencies. Ensures controls meet regulatory and organization standards. Ensures that existing control practices and procedures are documented.

Reviews documentation for evidence of successful and efficient performance. Remains aware of Technology and market trends to determine potential risks to the organization. Recommends any resulting change needed to mitigate risk. Contributes to the achievement of related teams' objectives.


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred

  • 6-8 years of related experience required

  • Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

CCP Quantitative Risk is a global private side group with a presence in London, New York and Asia. This position is for a Quantitative Analyst. The primary responsibility will be to perform stress testing of cleared portfolios. The Quant Analyst will also review the risk management methodologies employed by clearinghouses. These reviews require the intensive examination of the quantitative aspects of the clearinghouse's risk management framework. The conclusions of a review are a key input into the firm's views of the credit quality of the clearinghouse; the analyst will be expected to discuss conclusions with Credit Executives. With the advent of the global regulatory push towards centralized clearing, the role of CCP Quantitative Risk has become increasingly critical internally as well as having a higher profile in external forums; this is an area and job with significant growth potential. Quantitative: The candidate must be highly numerate, with a degree in a quantitative discipline with a strong understanding of statistics.
