Lead IT Infrastructure Engineer

Job Responsibilities

The candidate will be part of the Fab Integrated Technology Services (FITS) team as the IT Infrastructure Engineer.

The FITS team is a group of talented IT professional with diverse skillsets & experiences working cross functionally and interfacing with other Product, Operations and Customer Support teams. The FITS IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for carrying out technical tasks to deploy and support IT infrastructure used in Lam's Advance Services products located at Lam's regional offices or in Customers' Fabs. This role will also involve in core engineering projects and product life cycle development for Lam's Advanced Services products by providing IT infrastructure technical expertise and leadership.

Other Job Responsibilities

This position is expecting about 25% travel within US and Internationally as needed. Support global customer base in various time-zones as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5 - 10 years of experience in managing IT infrastructure and operational procedures on servers, networking, storage and virtualization environment,

• Provide technology leadership / guidance and can influence stakeholders & business partners to drive initiatives that are crucial for product success,

• Lead and complete projects and proof of concepts (PoC) from initial design to prototype,

• Drive operational excellence and implement solutions that leads to overall success of Lam products,

• Thorough understanding of networking concepts, technologies and troubleshooting,

• Advanced knowledge of Windows Server OS and hands on with Linux, preferably CentOS / Ubuntu

• Understanding and hands on experience with virtualization of Windows and Linux operating systems,

• Understanding of Anti-Malware / Anti-Virus software and IT Security Best Practices,

• Experienced in managing hardware and OS resource monitoring solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Worked in a Fab environment or familiar with Semiconductor industry,

• 3+ years of data center management or server room facility experience,

• Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco switches in previous roles,

• Experienced in supporting Big Data technologies such as Hadoop / Kubernetes

• Familiar with Agile methodology and development management tools such as Jira,

• Experienced in Windows and Linux scripting to automate repetitive tasks,

• Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or relevant engineering degree.
