Job Summary:

We're looking for an experienced C# Developer to be part of our CDS Industrial team working on mission critical enterprise applications in a distributed environment, having significant infrastructure and integration components. These software applications are focused on Nalco's and Ecolab's businesses for delivering value to our customers through web, mobile and desktop tools. Many of the systems deployed at the customer site are integrated with customers PLC and process control systems. This data is captured in Ecolab/Nalco servers for BI/analytics purposes. The ideal candidate needs to have a broad understanding of all aspects of software development and familiarity with the industrial market space is a plus.

What You Will Do:

  • Synthesize business requirements and translate them to appropriate technology solutions

  • Provide architectural and technical guidance for product development and database design for C# and SQL based solutions.

  • Develop and execute software engineering plans and manage software engineering schedules and resource allocations. This includes managing joint development with 3rd party vendors and managing outsourced development.

  • Ensure, and create as needed, software engineering processes, practices and operations to ensure reproducible, high-quality, development, while keeping costs under control, and delivering projects on-time.

  • Monitor technology trends such as emerging standards for new technology opportunities

  • Engage in hands-on, in-depth analysis, review and design of the software, including technical review and analysis of source code. Will include reviews of in-house developed code, as well as review of technologies provided by 3rd party vendors.

  • Think strategically and balance short-term needs with longer-term business priorities

  • Challenge status quo and champion new ideas throughout cross functional organizations; ability to inspire confidence and trust with peers and cross functional business teams

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field

  • 5+ years as a C# programmer

  • Well versed in C#, SQL, HTML5, Java Script, ASP.NET, and MVC

  • Demonstrated project experience with regard to estimates, planning and deliverables with a high degree of accountability

  • Proven ability working with business, engineering and R&D teams to translate needs to Application Development teams

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Team oriented

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field

  • Familiar with project management methodology, Agile/Scrum and TFS or JIRA

  • Proven experience working directly with end customers or internal business units

  • Prior experience working with global development teams

  • Experience in IoT environments

  • Experience in working in Azure

Primary Responsibilities As the Business Intelligence Developer, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the success and growth of KeHE by engaging with internal business stakeholders of all levels across the business, consult with them, and provide support & guidance in defining and delivering their BI needs by turning data into actionable information. Essential Functions * Perform full lifecycle of Business Intelligence (BI) development * Gather and define business requirements directly with internal customers and stakeholders * Identifies data sources, provides data flow diagrams and documents source to target mapping and process. * Collaborate with others on requirements specifications and documentation * Design and develop SQL for large complex ETL jobs and conduct related database troubleshooting and maintenance * Perform code reviews and unit and integration testing * Maintain the data warehouse performance by optimizing batch processing through parallelization, performance tuning etc. * Design, develop, and maintain scalable reports, dashboards, and metrics * Maintain the design and development standards for Business Intelligence (BI) * Lead and coordinate implementation activities * Provide guidance and mentoring to other developers * Keep current with Business Intelligence data trends and technological innovations * Execute on POC's with new technologies, drive innovation, and new ideas Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude * 4 Year College Degree; Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience * 5+ years of direct experience using databases, including Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server * 5+ years hands-on experience developing with SQL, PL/SQL, SSIS, SSAS, PowerBI, C# * Strong understanding data modeling (i.e. conceptual, logical and physical model design, experience with Operation Data Stores, Enterprise Data warehouses and Data Marts). * Strong experience with business intelligence and data warehousing design principles and industry best practices including multi-dimensional modelling (star schemas, snowflakes, de-normalized models, handling "slow-changing" dimensions) * Extensive experience developing and deploying reports, dashboards, and metrics using Power BI, Tableau or Qlikview * Experience in creating Entity Relationship Diagram's using tools like Toad * Expert level understanding of Office Suite (including Access and Excel) Qualifications / Additional Skills / Aptitude: * Strong ability to problem solve without documentation * Ability to work well with others * Strong communication skills, both verbally, and written * Strong work ethic and ability to work in a dynamic environment * Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly and self-directed * Ability to prioritize and multi-task across numerous work streams * Knowledge of modern development techniques: Agile (Scrum, Kanban) Preferred Requirements of the Business Intelligence Developer: * Experience with AWS Cloud Services or equivalent * Experience with Python and JavaScript * Experience with automation using but not limited to Java, C# * Experience working Big Data Technologies like Hadoop, Spark Requisition ID2019-4458 Kehe Food Distributors Naperville IL
