Lead IT Business Analyst -- Retail Enterprise Platforms plays a critical role in connecting IT to the Global Retail teams within the company for new projects and business processes. This position holds a key role in keeping technology project work aligned with strategic business priorities and will be responsible for driving innovation and change within the business.


  • Acts as liaison with technical and development teams to convert business requirements into technology requirements

  • Develops business cases, test cases and fulfills the project technical SME role on various projects in their area

  • Provides technical, operational, and application support for troubleshooting and resolving issues including application business logic, data flow and data integrity for retail merchandise systems

  • Serves as expert level application support for retail merchandise systems

  • Acts as a strategic thought partner, proposes alternatives/solutions in alignment with requirements/objectives/timelines and addresses issues facing the business

  • Advanced leadership capability, including ability to motivate and mentor others within work group

  • Executes and leads medium or multiple agile/waterfall projects with a focus on process documentation, requirement documents, user story development, user acceptance testing and training/communications

  • Supports implementation and testing of projects including version upgrades

  • Performs systems testing and quality assurance testing

  • Designs, develops and implements change management plans to ensure adoption of process improvement changes and technology solutions across the organization

  • Ensures proper processes are followed in the systems life cycle and maintains a responsive, reliable, and functional system

  • Development and definition of support models for new solutions


  • Experience with retail merchandising systems such as Jesta Vision / or JDA / Blue Yonder

Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Netsuite

  • Experience with troubleshooting integrations, data flow, data integrity and necessary tools to do so including SQL, XML, Putty (or other SQL client)

  • Experience writing SQL queries to extract and validate data from multiple tables

  • Ability to deliver in both an Agile and Waterfall methodology

  • 5+ years of experience leading Lean / Agile projects

  • Deep knowledge of project management methodology

  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate business functionality and opportunities into clear, precise and easy-to-read functional specifications

  • Strong business acumen to quickly learn new business processes and understand how IT needs to support the business in achieving revenue and profit goals

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment

  • Ability to work with onshore/offshore teams and communicate using virtual communication tools (phone, conferencing, online meeting)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical IT teams

  • Sound understanding of technical concepts

  • Excellent facilitation skills

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Finance, Computer science, Business, or related area or equivalent education, training and related discipline required

  • 7+ years of professional experience in IT or business required; Needs to include 5 -- 10 years retail and digital specific experience in retail merchandising, planning, allocations, order management, inventory control, and finance
