We believe the role of Lead Inventory Technician will present you with such an opportunity, as you will coordinate and perform packaging tasks and related activities in support of the medication dispensing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all Packaging staff using the proper procedure to complete all daily packaging assignments and obtaining Pharmacist check.

  • Coordinate the daily packaging process including all special dispensing/ packaging situations and requirements as specified in current policies and procedures.

  • Implement and monitor compliance policy and procedure to ensure all machine packaging, hand/strip/card packaging, extemporaneous packaging is completed and double check accuracy of all medications before beginning packaging process

  • Ensure all areas of packaging are maintained clean and orderly.

  • Replenish packaging supplies as needed.

  • Maintains documentation on each medication packaged (includes quantities, lot numbers and expiration dates).

  • Ability to delegate responsibilities and resolve workflow concerns.

  • Communicate with Pharmacy Manager on a routine basis.

  • Assist Pharmacy Manager in preparing programs, policy and projects associated with technical responsibilities.

  • Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.

Required Qualifications

  • Pharmacy Technician Registration/License in Indiana required. If not already licensed, must apply and receive license prior to starting work.

  • Ability to perform light lifting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Inventory management experience strongly preferred

  • Previous Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.

  • Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.

  • Leadership/management experience preferred.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Collaborate with field training team as needed. • Cascade communication from leadership to direct reports • Responsible for the performance management, development, reward of their team. • Interview and make hiring decisions for staff additions and promotions • Serve as a role model by demonstrating company values • Communicate company initiatives, expectations, and policies. • Responsible for the morale and recognition of their team. • Assist managers in local district and enterprise initiatives • Coordinates prepping quarterly physical inventories • Ensure that department forms and other supplies are replenished as needed. • Ensure and maintain a safe and clean work environment • Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies. • Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications * Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law. • 1 year of management experience • 1 year previous experience as a pharmacy technician or Long term care pharmacy experience preferred or • 1 year data entry experience or • 1 year of customer service experience or • 1 year of machine equipment experience Preferred Qualifications * Strong interpersonal skills and well-developed verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Ability to meet deadlines and be flexible • Good math and analytic skills • Excellent organization skills and detail oriented • Ability to maintain composure on the phone when handling customer calls Education Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
