The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the point of contact for the Command regarding asset accountability. Enforces he appropriate policies and procedures. Directs the acquisition of all accountable government assets.

Serves as the primary DoD mandated Component Property Lead (CPL) for all property Executes the Component Property Lead responsibilities as outlined in DoDI 5000.64. Serves as the point of contact for the Command regarding asset accountability.
Enforces the appropriate policies and procedures. Directs the acquisition of all accountable government assets ensuring they are managed through their life- cycle, in accordance with DoD 7000.14-R.
Enforces the use of electronic or hard-copy logs of system transactions that are suitable for audit.
Establishes and enforces appropriate associated internal controls. Appoints primary Accountable Property Officers (APO) and strategically places them throughout the Command.
Serves as the Directorate's Accountable Property Officer, APO) for hardware and software; conducts periodic internal reviews and audits to assess hardware and software accountability.
Serves as the Major Command Equipment Control Officer (MECO) and the Software Control Officer (SCO) for the Command Components and the Directorate in accordance with USTRANSCOMI 33-16.
As the MECO, the incumbent provides oversight and management of the USTRANSCOM hardware assets.
Manages and tracks the usage of IT hardware through management and oversight !of the USTRANSCOM's Equipment Control Officers (ECO). Appoints ECOs in writing and maintains a list of designated ECOs.
Approves or rejects all equipment transfers in an approved Accountable Property System of Record (APSR.) Approves or rejects excess IT asset r eports completed by ECOs.
Serves as the leader of the USTRANSCOM's Asset Management Team, under the oversight of the Chief of the Project and Service Portfolio Management Branch.
Coordinates, communicates, integrates and is responsible for the overall success of the Component Property Lead's functions.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

This position provides management of critical activities during a standard work schedule. Alternate work schedules are not authorized. Work hours other than normal duty hours, including evenings, weekends and/or holidays, may be required.
Travel by regularly scheduled passenger, military, or commercial aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments may be required.
A Bachelor' s Degree in Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Logistics, or other related fields is highly desirable.
Completion of Professional Military Education (PME) - Intermediate Developmental Education (IDE) or Joint Professional Military Education I (JPME I) is highly desirable.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11 or NH-02, or equivalent pay bands in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes managing all accountable government property through their life-cycles, in accordance with appropriate guidance, to assess accountability, management system effectiveness, and Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) policy compliance. Manages multiple Accountable Property Officers (APO) throughout the Command and Components. Leverages forward thinking to align the Directorate's priority cloud and data priorities with the Command's strategies of ensuring today's readiness and advocating for tomorrow's capabilities, advancing cyber domain capabilities evolving for tomorrow, and championing an innovative, diverse. and agile workforce.
This is an acquisition demonstration project position, NH-2210-03, equivalent to the GS-12/GS-13, WITH A TYPICAL SALARY RANGE OF $74,075 - $114,510.
