As a Lead Integration & Automation Engineer in R&D, you'll work on innovating safety critical code for hard real time embedded systems that support everyday life, from critical, life-saving operations to everyday tasks, like flipping a light switch.

As a Lead Integration & Automation Engineer, a typical day might include the following:

  • Working closely with developers, writing specifications and functional tests

  • Teaching and mentoring internal and external customers

  • Working directly with customers to troubleshoot problems with Application Engineers

  • Running stakeholder demonstrations and presentations

This job might be for you if you have:

  • Theoretical and practical experience with different communication protocols (IEC-61850, DNP, Modbus, etc.)

  • Hands-on experience with equipment (connecting devices to test sets, being able to connect different devices together and running communication schemes, etc.)

  • Experience working with product developers on software

  • Experience working at the systems level of distribution automation

  • SEL product experience
