Lead Infrastructure Engineer Role: Provides Cabling, Physical Infrastructure Support & Circuit Logistics - assisting with Wall to Wall and vendor management. Oversee circuit provisioning and delivery and coordinate third party resources to complete cable and infrastructure projects. Manage inventory and documentation related to network closets, IDF's and MDF's. Work closely with the SDM and the Network Analyst to manage vendor relationships and projects. Working with third party vendors in accordance with client direction, design and deploy new cabling and hardware infrastructure. Assist with the development of SOP's, run books and other Operational resources for the infrastructure team and any vendors we manage. Report regular status of projects and operational issues to the SDM. This Role Performs:

  • Design, analysis, planning, modification and maintenance of the network infrastructure and cabling requirements

  • Evaluation of existing infrastructure and analysis of short/long term capacity needs '

  • Provision of specifications and detailed schematics for infrastructure plans; the provision of information for hardware selection; and the selection of tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements

  • Monitor and resolve network incidents on a 24X7 basis

  • The position maintains technical expertise in all areas of network infrastructure and hardware



  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.


  • Must be able to pass a California Department of Justice (DoJ) LiveScan background investigation and a detailed lifestyle law enforcement background interview


  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field and a minimum of 9 years of experience on network & Telecommunications Cabling

  • Strong experience managing Telecomm Services implementations

  • Demonstrated ability to manage vendors, both telecomm and cabling

  • Registered Telecommunications Project Manager (BICSI RTPM)

  • Experience designing and deploying cable and infrastructure projects

  • Strong background with Service and Change Management


  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

  • Registered Communications Distribution Designer (BICSI RCDD)

  • Ability to present very complex technical concepts in understandable language

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Experience with large enterprise cable and infrastructure design

  • Experience creating and presenting project plans and designs

Responsibilities * Manage the day-to-day operations to ensure maintenance schedules are met in an efficient, safe, and employee-oriented manner. * Perform daily system maintenance and repair of devices such as, but not limited to, personal computers, programmable logic controllers and peripherals, motor control panels, photoelectric sensors, laser and RF readers, servo devices, changing HVAC air handler filters, condensate pumps, and motors. * Troubleshoots and repairs control system and electrical failures by applying comprehensive technical knowledge to solve problems by interpreting manufacturer manuals or similar documents. * Direct supervision of all daily assignments. Schedule and supervise mechanics and technicians in the maintenance and repair of conveyor and passenger boarding bridge equipment. * Review and monitor personnel assignments, including the issue and completion of work orders within the CMMS system. * Coordinate repairs, maintenance and overhauls with airport and airline staffs to minimize customer down time. * Monitor and report system performance, and system maintenance operations standards to Site Manager and customers. * Coordinate and manage daily preventive maintenance program. * Resolve technical issues. * Diagnose PLC and operating system software issues through use of computer. * Diagnose, repair and align laser array hardware and software. * Maintain daily turnover reports. * Maintains and develops the commitments of all employees to the quality of work they are performing and promotes the concept of zero defects and continuous improvement as operating modes. * Train, develop and motivate maintenance site personnel toward the achievement of the Company objectives. * Conduct performance appraisals and disciplinary actions. * Verification of inbound and outbound materials, keeping inventory current, includes the requisition of spare parts to support maintenance contract. * Maintain customer satisfaction by keeping the customer in mind. * Exercises initiative and judgment during the absence of the Site Manager to see that issues requiring attention are handled in a manner designed to minimize the effects of the manager's absence. * Monitors and enforces safety practices to protect site personnel, airline/airport personnel, passengers and public.
