The Lead Human Resources, US Biologics Campus Global Product Supply (GPS) Operations has responsibility over all GPS operations across US Biologics Campus as well as integration of HR policies and strategies across the campus and all BMS organizations. The scope includes the US Biologics drug substance sites of Devens, MA (900 employees) and Syracuse (300 employees) responsibility. The leader of this team partners with the HR Lead, GPS Operations and has 4 HRBP respectively.

Position Responsibilities

  • Provides strategic HR Business Partner leadership to the site General Managers & their respective leadership teams in order to drive business performance and foster cooperation across the enterprise.

  • Leads a team of HRBPs dedicated to respective sites by articulating a clear vision, and ensuring the implementation and success of the People Strategy and the full implementation of the HR Operating Model.

  • Collaborates across the HR Operating Model (Centers of Excellence and People Services) to articulate business needs and partners in delivering solutions in ways that bring value across the enterprise

  • Accountable for the full implementation and stabilization of the HR Operating Model for both GPS sites, which includes establishing priorities with People Services and Centers of Excellence partners as well as leading the change with the sites leadership.

  • Leverages business strategy, people strategy, external best practices and organizational insights to deliver bold and innovative organizational and talent solutions, maintaining an enterprise lense.

  • Applies "systems thinking" and leads change for effectiveness of organization performance through the use of metrics and analytics in a way that drives business performance, support talent and organizational decisions.

  • In charge of driving the plant's Work Force Planning and organization efficiencies, including driving talent strategy and succession planning, and action plans to realize critical workforce needs.

  • Establishes the People Strategy to support the US Biologics Campus integrated campus approach, in close partnership with the Devens Campus Leadership

  • Takes a leadership role in creating a respectful and inclusive work environment while role-modeling the BMS Behaviors and fostering cultural diversity.

  • Represents BMS with external environment in the local/state communities and establish a proper branding strategy with key external stakeholders incl. schools, colleges and local communities.



College/University BA/BS Degree, Advanced Degree preferred

Experience Responsibility and minimum number of years

  • 10+ years of HR experience preferably in multinational businesses with US prior experience

Competencies Knowledge, Skills Abilities

  • Extensive experience as an HR business partner with significant leadership skills and experience building and leading global, diverse teams of HR professionals.

  • Proven success in working effectively at senior management levels to impact and influence decision making

  • Experience working with global teams

  • Proven application in leveraging business acumen and external insights to improve business and talent outcomes

  • Experience in leading change management efforts including defining change and communication plans

  • Experience in the use of metrics and analytics in a way that drives business performance

  • Demonstrated experience in applying workforce planning knowledge, engagement strategies, and succession management

  • Proven experience in working effectively within a matrixed environment and building alignment in a cross functional and team environment

  • Knowledge of external trends and factors that influence human behaviors and decision-making at the individual, group, and organizational level

  • Fluent in both Spanish and English

Role primarily based in Devens, MA and will require to split time between the other BMS location in US Biologics Campus. Some travel to Central New Jersey will be required.
