About the Position: This position is located at the Directorate of Human Resources, Fort Benning, GA 31905. Fort Benning is located 100 miles south of Atlanta and is adjacent to Columbus, GA and Phenix City, AL. The Geography and climate are ideal for year-round military training. Responsibilities

  • Establishes workflow and functional assignments and distributes work to meet demands.

  • Manage Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) team operations to ensure objectives are met by means such as team member notification, coordinating facility use, and unit arrival and demobilization processing.

  • Coordinate the effective operation of military personnel workstations during Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP), including strength accounting, personnel records, separation processing, and identification (ID) cards and tags.

  • Prepare documentation such as reports, statistical analysis, and briefings for military personnel programs.

  • Coordinate with higher headquarters and other installations to resolve processing and data accuracy problems.

Occasional travel - This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% or less of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes entering data into automated human resources systems such as the Electronic Military Personnel Office (eMILPO) and the Defense Eligibility and Enrollment Reporting System/Real-Time Automated Personnel Identification System (DEERS/RAPIDS; receiving telephone and email inquiries and referring to appropriate staff; establishing workflow and functional assignments and distributing work to meet demand; review routine actions for accuracy and completeness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

The incumbent is the primary lead for Accession Information Environment (AIE) prototype development in the Processing Team in the Personnel Affairs Branch (PAB) and Initial Receiving Branch (IRB). Learn more about this agency Responsibilities * Responsible for overseeing and approving actions related to the processing in AIE for Initial Entry Training: Active Duty, National Guard, and Reserve Soldiers coming into the Army for training and/or permanent party assignment. * Performs a wide variety of IET processing tasks pertaining to the Initial Receiving Branch, Personal Affairs Branch, and Identification Card Section which in-processes approximately 18,000-48,000 Soldiers per year dependent on location. * Serves as subject matter expert on all areas affecting AIE prototype, exercises responsibility and accountability to ensure accuracy of program operation impacting all active duty, reservists and National Guard Service members * Plans, organizes, and conducts group briefings covering a variety of IET personnel matters, ranging from all business processes current and future * Evaluates current and future AIE capabilities, conducts testing of the system functionality, assists in creation of training programs of instruction and creates daily/weekly reports to CIMT HQs AIE SME as required. * Prepares correspondence, reports, and other documents in draft and final form using word processing software, graphics software, or other automated programs * Uses office automation software for database, spreadsheets, word processing, etc. including dashboard and reports inside the AIE prototype.
