We have an exciting job opportunity working as a Lead Heavy-Duty Mechanic in Pittsburgh, PA. This established business provides fleet services to the military, government agencies, and commercial businesses.

Their shops are fully stocked with the latest technology; plus, they offer their employees on-going training opportunities and reimbursements to maintain a CDL, D.O.T. Card, and ASE certifications.

They are seeking an experienced Lead Heavy-Duty Mechanic to work on both Trucks and Heavy Equipment. The ideal Lead Diesel Mechanic will have the ability to delegate and manage work orders, inspect trucks and heavy equipment, conduct roadside repairs, and complete major repairs such as engine overhauls.

Technicians must have their CDL A to obtain this role. Those with military experience, dealership experience, or ASE certification/s will be given preference. Heavy-Duty Technicians must pass mandatory background checks (Criminal, Driving, & Employment Verification) to obtain this role.

$23.00 - $25.00/hour. Wages are dependent on previous experience and certifications. Comprehensive Benefits are available after 30 days (Medical, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, Life Insurance, PTO, and 401k). Tools and Boot allowance are available. Technician are reimbursed for yearly DOT physicals, CDL License renewals, and successful completion of ASE certifications.
Days, Monday through Friday with start and end times between 6:30am to 5:00pm. OT starts at 40 hours. Technicians must be available to work overtime as needed.

Implement MOC * Develop and own Product Life Cycle optimization portfolio (product launch to elimination). Coordinate closely with Commercial, Supply, Technical and Manufacturing * Compile global assessment of competitive product capabilities * Make cross-functional connections and help drive global trade-offs as necessary to facilitate agility in meeting customer needs and delivering business results; empower regional teams as appropriate * Final decision rights around system design w/ technical service * Track %NPS & Total sales for full category range (annually) * Support business case for capital and resource investments within technology segment Experience and Education * Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, chemistry, business, or related degree * At least 5 years' experience in strategy, marketing or product management within the chemical industry * Demonstrates creative and critical thinking skills * Process oriented and willingness to develop processes where needed * Proficiency in gathering and analyzing market intelligence; ability to assemble and organize multiple sources of intelligence into a clear market assessment * Strong business and technical acumen demonstrating ability to define, develop and execute new opportunities * Ability to translate/quantify data and other information and make reliable decisions on viable business prospect identification * Ability to directly and effectively engage external customers at all levels * Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to collaborate and influence in a matrix environment (cross-functional, cross-regional, and cross-SBU) * Experience and exposure to global business dynamics and the ability to drive implementation of required activities across all regions * Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, team player, dynamic, creative and ability to work on own initiative * Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to clearly present recommendations and ideas to summarize complex issues * Strong professionalism and work ethic * Organizational skills and attention to detail * Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed PPG: We protect and beautify the world.
