External Job Title- Lead Functional Configuration Spec

Working closely with HR leadership, you will drive our efforts in streamlining the operations of the SuccessFactors technology. This includes improving current modules and leading efforts to roll-out additional modules.

Experience in configuring the SAP SuccessFactors system to deliver business functionality is required. This position is located in Boston, Massachusetts.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

Identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions.

Define and implement HRIS policies, procedures and best practices.

Serve in a consultative role using background and experience to design work flow processes and system configuration to leverage the value of SuccessFactors.

Analyze business processes and prepare detailed functional specifications for required development activities.

Proactively scan for and resolve any system-related issues that could impact end-user experience, data integrity, or overall end-to-end system functionality.

Willingness to cross-train other team members on SuccessFactors.

Manage HRIS vendors which includes defining SLAs and holdings vendors accountable to agreed upon SLAs.

Configuring the functional aspects of the SuccessFactors module(s) you are certified to implement.

Support production systems by troubleshooting and resolving Tier 3 issues, by working with end users and collaborating with fellow IT team members.

Allocate workload across junior team members.

Desired Skills and Experience:

BA/BS Degree or Equivalent in Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field
3+ years of experience in several, if not all, of the following SuccessFactors modules is desired: Employee Central, Recruiting, Performance & Goals, Compensation, Succession and Onboarding.

SuccessFactors certifications preferred

Familiarity with conceptual solution and platform architectures and/or fundamental programming is a plus.

Ability to self-manage key deliverables and deadlines.

Ability to initiate and maintain relationships with various areas of the business supported by the SuccessFactors product.

Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex information in a succinct, organized manner

Ability to analyze and convey business requirements into functional specifications and technical design documents.

Experience with testing and validation of configuration.

Strong vendor management skills.

Physical Requirements:

Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing).

The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.

Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to join the Children's Hospital ISD team in a group of technical analysts maintaining essential third party vendor applications. Work in a dynamic environment as the team grows taking on new projects and responsibilities for strategic initiatives essential to the hospitals operations. On a day to day basis you will be responsible for supporting and troubleshooting a group of applications. You will work with the Team Lead and Functional Subject Matter Experts and be the primary technical contact for several applications. This Applications Developer will be responsible for: * Maintaining an in-depth technical understanding of the vendor applications you support including requirements for upgrades, patching and interfaced integration with other systems. * Working closely with functional and technical team members and vendors to support the day to day operation of these applications. * Participating with functional areas on the analysis and requirements, design and testing of enhancements and customizations. * Evaluating upgrades and release notes for assigned applications and work with functional areas to insure that changes are fully tested before implementation into production. * Troubleshooting and resolve reported system and application problems in the test and production environments. Resolution may require coordinating functional and technical resources (Technical Administrator, Interfaces, Operations, and System Managers, Networking etc.) in the investigation, analysis and solution. * Providing detailed documentation of all analysis, configuration and implementations. * Following prescribed methodologies for all project implementations. You may work on multiple implementations at any given time. * Developing reports and scripts according to required specifications utilizing MicroStrategy or other reporting tools as needed. * Covering required on-call coverage responsibilities. To qualify, you must have: * 5+ years' experience installing, supporting and maintaining vendor applications on complex server platforms. These include delivery through Web, Citrix and fat client interfaces. * Experience in a hospital setting is preferred but not required. * Database, OS and Server support experience/understanding as well as MicroStrategy writing skills are beneficial to this position. * Understanding of application interfaces and messaging is beneficial to the job but not required. * Strong administrative, analytical, problem-solving, written and verbal communication, and facilitation and presentation skills. * Ability to cooperatively and effectively work with people from all organizational levels.
