  • Serves as a lead position over a diverse staff of administrative and technical personnel within a division of Military Pay Operations.

  • Responsible for functions that include management of personnel, manpower, and other resources issues such as: planning functions (Contingency, Strategic, Business, Operational), monitoring and maintenance of centralized management.

  • Leads the team in identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow and skill level.

  • Perform analysis of payroll maintenance and certification operations, Case Management System (CMS), Balanced Scorecard, and other performance and productivity measures and metrics.

  • Military Pay Operations Program Manager and Liaison for Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) Database(s), Student Stored Value Card (SSVC), MyPay, DJMS-AC/RC Table 50 Maintenance.

  • Review Defense Joint Military Pay System (DJMS) System Change Requests (SCR) and prepare Production Trouble Reports (PTR).

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.

Specialized experience is defined as experience applying military pay rules and guidance in order to conduct qualitative and quantitative techniques for defining and measuring costs in order to advise organizational managers.

Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in Federal Service.

This is a Non-critical sensitive position. Employment in this position requires a background investigation which may delay your starting date. If you are selected and cannot obtain a favorable security determination within a reasonable period of time due to disclosed or undisclosed background issues, the employment offer may be withdrawn.
