Job Description:

  • Process all transactions, such as journal entries, accruals, month-end allocations in a timely manner and in compliance with US GAAP.

  • Assigned accounts are properly reconciled and documented in accordance with department and Corporate P&P. Maintain documentation to support account balances in a manner that facilitates the efficient review and audit of books and records.

  • Complete month-end processes to achieve an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close. Complete assigned SEC reporting schedules.

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding areas of assigned responsibility

  • Support the audit process and provide documents as necessary to facilitate the completion of audit requests. Update SOX Narratives as requested.

  • Work with the Senior Manager and the Director/Assistant Controller to prepare analyses and research issues as directed.

  • Request and compile information for various Corporate and Tax requests.

  • Assist in analyzing and recording the Bad Debt Reserve requirement, GRNI and Legal Fees & Settlements

The Orthopaedics division has achieved a consistent history of year over year growth due to strategic planning and results driven attitude. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for recording financial activity, internal and external reporting, analyzing key accounts and participating in projects to improve the contribution to the division's profitability. As a member of the Finance team our mission is to align with our business partners to achieve continued growth. This role will be responsible to provide finance expertise to the Orthopaedics community. Best in class accounting and financial services is our goal and this individual will be responsible for evaluating and designing procedures to contribute to that goal. Select responsibilities include: * Accounting and Reporting * Assisting with the month end close by performing such tasks as journal entries, month-end allocations, accruals and communicating with global peers. * Analyzing inter-company transactions impacting the entire Stryker organization. * Communicating key account trends, risks and opportunities through insightful analysis to leadership. * Preparing schedules to support the external SEC reporting requirements. * Adhoc analyses, research issues and participation in projects with other individuals across the company are expected from this role. Minimum Education, Experience & Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. * 1+ years of accounting or audit experience with knowledge of Microsoft Excel. * Hyperion Financial Management experience a plus.
