This position is within Reynolds American Services Companya subsidiary that provides support services, including compliance, HR, law, finance, information management, and more to all of the subsidiaries of RAI.
RAI is looking for a Lead Financial Manager Business Venturing and M&A. Qualified candidates will have outstanding analytical, communication, and organizational impact skills. Candidates must be able to solve complex business problems, identify profit growth opportunities, work in team-oriented environments, and interact frequently with senior level executives. The ideal candidate will focus on structuring the transaction, leading due diligence, developing financial models, assisting with the business case and managing the internal approval process. You will assist with evaluating potential acquisitions, divestitures, alliances and strategic investments.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
Develop financial and operational models (income statements, cash flows, NPV, ROI) and due diligence for new business ventures, including acquisitions and joint ventures
Preparing quarterly and annual management presentations for RAI Management
Participate in legal negotiations regarding transaction-related contracts with in-house and external counsel
Determine investment conclusions and create presentations for senior management for decision making in these sensitive transactions utilizing detailed financial models and valuation analyses
Work closely with team to identify opportunities and needs, reports findings, proposes solutions and drives change through analysis and business acumen
Keeps up with industry, M&A trends and best practices in order to ensure continuous improvement in efficiency and effectiveness
Organize transaction files and other administrative duties to support transactions
Provide support on ad-hoc request
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related area
2.5+ years of experience in M&A, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Venture Capital or Private Equity with upward momentum in accountabilities.
MBA, CPA, or MAC
Experience in performing valuations using combinations of discounted cash flow and other valuation techniques
Ability to thrive in an ever-changing environment where priorities often change due to deal flow or business needs
High proficiency in Excel for financial modelling and Power Point for presentations
Ability to think strategically, with strong influencing, leadership skills and ability to foster interpersonal relationships
Willingness and drive to exceed expectations; spend the time and effort necessary to complete all tasks to the highest level
Well-developed ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner to executives
Exceptional communication and presentation skills (both written and oral) along with strong interpersonal and team-based competencies
Experience in conducting due diligence
