Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  1. Should be able to do finite element modelling of Engine and transmission components and Systems. Understanding and adherence to element and part quality check sheets. 2) Should be able to assign material properties, 3) Should be able to apply loads and Boundary conditions required for linear and nonlinear Static analysis.

Should be able to carry out Modal and frequency response analysis for components and systems. 4) Should have done analysis for engine 5C and #39;s(Cylinder head, Crankcase, Crankshaft, Connecting rod and Camshaft) and transmission housings for nonlinear static strength and fatigue analysis (5) Should have do understand and analyse of Crank train and Valve train dynamics 6) Ability to post process results and make reports. (7) Good knowledge of Engine and transmission components and systems 8) Good fundamentals

  • Strength of materials and Applied mechanics 9) Should know different tests for Powertrain and driveline system and recommend design modifications to meet acceptance criteria based on analysis results. (1) Should have good knowledge of Vehicle systems (2) Should have good fundamentals

  • Strength of materials, Applied mechanics and Finite element methods (3) Should be able to do finite element modelling of Vehicle components and Systems. ;< Br /> (4) Should be able to assign thickness and material properties to components

(5) Should be able to build finite element assemblies for Vehicle structure. Should have good understanding of different types of connections like spot and seam welding. (6) Should be able to apply loads and Boundary conditions required for linear and nonlinear Static analysis

(7) Should be able to carry out Modal, frequency response and transient analysis for vehicle components and systems. (8)Should be able to do Fatigue life estimation for Vehicle structure, Spot and seam welds. (9) Ability to post process results, make reports and present results to design team. (10) Should be able to recommend design modifications to meet acceptance criteria based on analysis results, manufacturing and packaging constraints. (11) Should have knowledge of different tests for Vehicle systems and test instrumentations.

(12) Should be able to correlate CAE results with physical test results.

Experience

5-8 Years in CAE Powertrain Domain

Industry Preferred

Qualifications

M tech, preferably from IITs (with Gate Score and gt; 90%) or Reputed Engineering College

B Tech from reputed Engineering College
